You can still do majority of the hacking with an 8 GB SD card as long as you don't plan on dumping/playing any of the larger Switch titles. Also, i will be using cfw for emulator purposes only, but i of course want to do the backups to be safe. Problem is i only have an 8 GB sd card, is there still a way for me to create the essential backups or do i need a bigger sd card for that?

https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/partitioning_sd/what’s the best way to create an emuMMC for homebrew usage (emulation: retroarch) on my 1st gen switch (fw 2.1.0) while staying on 2.1.0 on the sysmmc?!
it was never online.
No, you need to install them again.hi
i have installed some games to my son switch with goldleaf.
and i have another console to my second chils,
is it possible to copy paste all the games instead use the goldleaf?
thanks in advance
No, you need to install them again.
Put the tinfoil .nro file in the switch folder on your micro sd card. Then create a folder called nsps on your micro sd card and put your games in it. I would recommend you to use Goldleaf. Tinfoil is outdated.I tried installing tinfoil on my switch, but I cant understand how.
Could someone explain this to me?
I am using Reinx at the time
I simply cant understand where to put all the files on my SD card.
While you haven't experienced any issues from using Goldleaf thus far, many other people have to the point that Bugleaf is a commonly associated nickname. Objectively, Goldleaf is also slower than Tinfoil when it comes to installation.Im very new to switch homebrew, I keep seeing people recommend tinfoil over goldleaf.
I've never used tinfoil but from my experience, goldleaf is easy to use and hasn't given me any issues so far. It reminds me of rxtools era FBI. So why do so few people use it? What am I missing
If you are using Lockpick homebrew version, use the RCM payload of Lockpick. If you were already using the RCM payload version, make sure you are using the latest version. The cfw guide tells me to use lockpicker but i get the following error:
lockpick unknown pkg1 version What do i do ( latest firmware) - first time CFW.
Are you using Fusee or Hekate? There are different piracy patches depending on which bootloader you are using.Hi all, first timer here. on a launch switch with 9.0.0, no game cartridge.
I've gotten as far as running atmosphere. Tried installing NSPs and got a invalid NCA error on goldleaf. Updated the sigpatches to 2.0.0-9.0.0 to the atmosphere folder on SD and got the same error again. Tried again with a USB install using the latest quark/goldtree and had the same error again.
Will probably try tinfoil next.
What am I doing wrong? Thank you for any help.
Games will require firmware 9.0 by the time firmware 10.0 comes out. In order for a game to require that firmware, it has to be compiled with that firmware's SDK and games are usually completed a few months before their release date (so they can be flashed onto cartridges and then shipped). So even if a new firmware and game comes out around the same time, the game went gold a long time ago already and requires a much older firmware.are there games that will require FW 9 right now or should I stay on 8.1 for the time being? I want to try astral chain and Zelda awakening
Thanks again @Draxzelex that new Payload worked!
Last couple of questions i hope haha:
1. Lockpick gave me 2 files title and prod.keys. Thats all right? (is this the prodinfo stuff i keep reading about?)
2. i tried usb installing a backup of mine to test via goldleaf, but i get an error that my firmware is too low or something wrong with sigpatch. (i run fw 9.0 with latest atmo with the "sweet patched thread" files. Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks again ^^
