Never bothered with emuNAND before, just been looking into it but I'm not sure there's much point considering my console is superbanned?

Though, if a method is released that allows you to use an older sysnand version to launch hacks, you could use an older sysnand to launch an updated emunand.

Not really, if you made a NAND backup with your prod keys and stuff there is no reason to use emunand unless your want to waste space or use a different cfw.

There is always reason to use emuNAND over sysNAND regardless of ban. - Brick-proof. Installing your NSP's under emuNAND makes your Switch 99% brick proof. Anything happens to your emuNAND, delete recreate, start again. sysNAND? did you have a backup, hope the backup restores successfully. Hope there are no issues etc. - I will ALWAYS use emuNAND even if I ever get banned.

To be fair, that's just one more backup location. (working sysnand, backup on sd, backup on any other drives vs backup on sd and backup on other drives)
RCM is launched before a bricked sysnand can be a problem. Emunand as brick protection really only helps if you lose all of your backups of your main nand.

As far as a disadvantage, emunand is probably slower (unless emunand is not encrypted and it end up faster, like in link's awakening.
