It does work on windows via a VM from reports, yet I'm not a fan of VM's, as I prefer to use an OS on a dedicated machine.

No, this exploit definitely doesn't do that (though you may be able to do so after getting homebrew or getting access to the nand files in any imaginable way)

Well, the exploit itself doesn't do anything about online mode, that's correct. But if you run the binary fullmetal5 provided ( https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/627601122432909323/627601969418338334/template.dol ), that enables online support. Just run this, connect a LAN adapter, and you are done.

I doubt they'll bother putting out an update for a 2 generation old system where they might get someone who hacked for online but didn't block updates (that is if the Wii Mini can even get updates)

When companies push out updates it's to prevent new people hacking, they know that it does nothing for the ones who already did.

Impressive how after so many years someone actually exploited the wii mini. Its a console that nobody cares about too. Things like this are giving me hope that the ps4 will get cfw one day

Considering that all regular cellphone is bluetooth compatible not is more useful a android exploit?

You'd most likely need a rooted Android device to send these low-level bluetooth packets. And I don't think that many people have a rooted phone. Easier to just set up a VM or quickly boot into a live linux distribution.

You know that's pretty much word for word what was said about the Wii Mini itself ever being hacked. And you don't have to use MSFT's stack (at least not on a decent version of Windows, such as 7).

Doesn't Android from before KitKat allow this sort of Bluetooth hacking? In fact I believe that is why a lot of Bluetooth-enabled apps stopped working under KitKat as it was "security patched" by Google.

Might actually be a good idea, not because it's large but because of my name Leseratte. The d2x is a shortcut for the names of the main developers, and a clean version "skip" / jump might not be the worst idea just in case there are any future updates to the non-mini cIOS.
