There's a very small player base on the Xbox One compared to other consoles, imagine how many good hackers fit into that demographic, if they even share remotely close to the enthusiasm they have for the Switch.

Xbox 360 hasn't really been hacked either aside from pita hard mod

I get your point here, but not entirely true. The King Kong shader exploit required no hardware mods, as one could hotswap the patched disc. Granted this would be considered tethered as it required a patched disc to boot. The exploit was debuted in December of 2006 and released February of 2007. Not long after launch, and utilized a launch title.

  1. Shut down your console.
  2. Press and hold Power + Vol Up + Vol Down until you see the Switch logo.
  3. You should be in Recovery Mode.
There are 3 options in Recovery Mode: Update System, Restore Factory Settings without Deleting Save Data, and Restore Factory Settings (do this only when all other options have been exhausted.)

1. Reported for necrobumping.
2. What you're writing here is not what they're talking about. They're talking about the RCM (where you can boot a CFW on first revision Switch units), not the recovery mode where you can reset the console ;)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
