I have the same issue with the HD collection mgs 3. Did anyone ever get back to you on this?

I had this exact same problem with the Infinite HP code for Emma in MS2 I made. The only and obvious solution was to turn it off before cutscenes. Maybe an on/off button code would help for these games. I actually haven't read up on how joker codes are done on the vita so I'm not really sure those are made.
Oddly, in metal gear solid 3, even if I disable the cheats the black screen freeze still happens.

Its likely mgs2 is a different region as i had the hd collection and i could only see mgs3.
So check your game id and grab the right version as im playing using just mgs2 (not hd collection with 2 and 3) and codes work fine.
For msg3 make sure your not activating codes like ammo, items, weapons until you have collected your back pack.

You ever tried making codes for any of the NeoGeo Vita releases? Like Metal Slug 3, Garou, etc?
I'm kind of interested in trying to make some, but the games are weird, as far as addressing goes. Seems like a weird multi-pointer thing.
Problem is I don't think it's the games themselves that have the addresses changed, but the built in emulator that runs them.

Are you using the English Patch or something? You never experience troubles while Downloading the game did you? My suggestion for you is to either reDL it again via NPS and one via PKGJ. See if it works or still nothing. If that fails, just do what you wanna activate yourself.
Also check how far the address of the one you are activating to what you searched. Chances are you can just use the address you find and put it in the cheat you need.
Using the english patch but that isn't the cause, I've already tested it by disabling repatch and others have had no problem using the cheats with the english patch. Game was downloaded from NPS which is the same thing you will get out of PKGJ so that can't be the issue either.
I already tried to do my own cheats but I could never get any changes to the found addresses so I could never get addresses to try.
The displayed value freezes, but the actual value does not and hp and gp still deplete in the background.
I've just accepted they aren't going to work no matter what and just gave up a while ago and I've moved on to playing other games.
As far as I can tell it's DLC related as that's the only thing I haven't eliminated as a possibility for sure but I just did not want to bother with process of elimination to figure out which DLCs are at fault for shifting the addresses enough to make the codes not work. So unless the code author can tell us what DLCs they had when they made the codes then there's no telling which of the available DLC breaks them.

Figured out a way to get codes on the NeoGeo games. Just use B200 codes. The working RAM for the emulated game is in the 2nd segment of memory, so just take the address for the code you need and subtract the starting address of seg2. So 814ABBEA-81200F70=002AAC7A
But bad news. Since these games require the b200 to be used, you must be on z05 or z06 of vitacheat to use them. The game can still be hacked on lower versions, but the codes will not be permanent.

I'm sad that there's still no updated codes for dragon's crown, i tried myself but i could get pretty much nothing to work.
There are codes for the US version 1.06, but nothing for EU or the updated US version.
Is there a way to convert a save between the EU version to the US version? That way i can at least use the existing codes!

I've dabbled in trying to make codes for Dragon's Crown US, the game is pretty insane and way above my level so I wasn't able to produce anything. Not being able to pause the game with vitacheats on was one of the biggest issue when trying to find codes, not sure if this was fixed in version z6 of vitacheats as I've only used version z5 on 6.60FW. It might be a lot easier now since we have a much much better way of finding pointers but even then, Dragon's Crown has some kind of anti cheat detection in place and really messes up your stuff if try to change certain things and since the game auto saves you'll have to make a separate save file for testing. As for your black screen problem, I think I had the same problem once. If you're on a lower FW then 6.65(I think) then you'll either need to download the comparability pack for Dragon's Crown from NPS_Browser along with the latest version of repatch or just use reF00D. I think reF00D eliminates the need for comparability packs on lower FW's, I can't remember.

Speedfly has Metal Slug 3 for both PCSE00665 and PCSG00613, both 1.01 Versions. Has a few more, but they are VIP and Paid Codes.
I let @eighthdayregret find them, since they're pretty easy to find. I just found out how to get them to work consistently. Since the Working RAM is always in the same spot in the seg1 it should be easy to make codes for it. It should also be super easy to find codes, since a lot of old Arcade and retro games have their RAM pretty well mapped out by now.
