Nobody has mentioned this thing, aside from one article here: https://gonintendo.com/stories/344245-brook-releasing-switch-dock-with-2-gamecube-controller-ports . It looks a little "meh" but the functionality this provides will be nice to have.

This thing doesn't look at all like a rendering, so it must have some sort of production run. I'm on the fence about picking one up. Any thoughts?

I don't have a switch anymore, but I wanted to get like a used one for cheap one of these days. Is it true unofficial docks still brick switches or is that a thing of the past?

OT: This looks pretty cool. I'd get something like this. I like how it's the top of a gamecube.

I can't give a concrete answer as I only have one person I know IRL that has an unofficial dock, but he's never mentioned a problem with it.

This is only me speculating, but I'm guessing the Turbo function can be assigned to different buttons (like rapid fire) and the function might be switching between GC, USB, and Bluetooth but I hope all those functions would work together, not toggled between.

Oh yeah ok in relation to the controller ports it makes more sense, I was just like why does a Switch dock need those weird buttons...

I'm wondering why it needs the dock flap on top. It's obviously used for the Switch, so why even have the flap? When would it be open?

Edit: Looks like the flap is there to prevent dust getting in when the Switch isn't docked.
