Hacking Question SD card corrupted, restored, how do I reinstall games?

EDIT:
To anyone struggling with this, the fix was really easy. Copy back all the contents of you SD card back to the formatted one. However in the Nintendo folder, go into Contents, and inside there's a file called "private". Just delete it, pop the card into the Switch, boot into ReinX or whatever you're using, and that's it. All the games were back.

Hello everyone, while backing up my nand on Reinx 1.4 tool, I noticed the nand backup confirmation screen kept flashing back and forth and was acting glitchy. When I tried to copy over my nand on my pc, I couldnt delete the files and eventually the whole card got corrupted.

I reformatted it to exFat like before, copied over everything from a local backup, the Switch formatted the card again itself, then I copied over the contents in "Nintendo" from my backup to the card.

I plugged in the SD card and verified Reinx is running properly and backed up my nand using the 1.1 tool this time (no weird glitches), but all my games have the cloud download icon on the home screen and I can't play them. How can I get my switch to see that these games are on the SD card?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I didn't know what to search for to find a previous thread.

Sounds like they are missing from the sd if that’s where they were installed, reinstall them again and all should be fine.

How though? I made the backup of the SD card with the "Nintendo" folder in it (the games are all installed there) and then after the Switch formatted the card so it could see it again, I just copy pasted it back in. The games are there, the Switch just doesn't "see" it. I could go through the process again of reinstalling them one by one, but if I have the data there, I would rather try to see if there's any other option rather than that very long route.

Edit:
I also installed a home screen shortcut nro to Retroarch and even that's giving me an error. It's saying for me to remove the SD card, shut down the Switch, then put it back in and start it up again. I tried it (in AutoRCM mode though) and same issue.

Just realized some files didn't copy over :facepalm: let me copy some stuff around and I'll update this thread and see if I figured it out.

Edit 3:
Copied the file back, and again the Switch is asking me to format the games. So I don't really know where to go from here.

Start from scratch and use FAT32. Highly recommended if you're going to use Retroarch regularly. Coming from someone who used ExFat and dealt with corruption issues. I was a denier for a long time and paid the price. Not a matter of if, but when it'll happen. Just played a 26-hour playthrough of Chrono Trigger with no issues on FAT32.

I'm about to just uninstall Retro just in case. Not sure if that was the cause or the really glitchy Nand backup process through Reinx. It's weird, I backed up a Nand 4 separate times already and this the first time I saw that erratic behavior, and it worked fine on 1.1 instead of 1.4.

I just copied back all the files again from the Nintendo folder and again when I put the SD card in and boot up Reinx, it gives me the splash screen that I have to format the SD card again before I can use it. So now I have no idea what to do to copy back my old games.
