Is the fps counter broken for anyone else?

I enabled it from the onscreen display > onscreen notification > display framerate but it doesn't seem to work, it's just stuck at n/a.

Ditto, for weeks. But only on 2D cores. PSX and N64 FPS work.

Try the latest nightly.
I think that got fixed yesterday or Wednesday, but try today's nightly to be sure.

I've tried multiple nightlies to no avail.

What menu theme are you using?
Try with others.
If it still happens, try backing up your .cfg file and let RA make a new one, see if that does.

If not, then simply restore your .cfg, and report the issue here, please:

Ozone. And I started from scratch when 1.78 released. Still no dice. Odd, very odd.

Retroarch itself has to write the in-game save memory into a file. It only does this at certain times, like if you switch cores or close retroarch. Might work on closing content/switching ROM too. Anyway if Retroarch itself crashes before doing the write, you're going to lose all your progress.

Save states are written to file the moment you make them, and they include in-game save data in side of the state. if your core supports those you might use those as a backup.
It never crossed my mind until after it happened when it may actually save the save. I had played through most of the game without ever closing out of it.

A noob question. I don't know why, but now my HBmenu changes to mercury (maybe for tinfoil hbg?), and with this, i can't launch a game with "r" to get full ram access.

I try reinstalling kosmos with the updater, and my hbc returns when i go to the photo menu, but...i can't access with the holding R method.

Any idea?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

EDIT

Nothing, updating atmosphere solves the problem :)

how do you mean? how can i disable it?
for the other cores it seems to work... with integer scale OFF ( no black bordes up and down )
on 4:3 the image doesn't touch the edges above or below the screen ( the black borders remain )

Hi all.

I have been using this great work for quite a good time with almost no issues. But now, I require assistance for the N64 core. I read that with the new release, there is a option in audio driver that lets you, at last, record videos with sound. But when I turn said driver on, the games lag a bit. I have the latest stable build, and use the full RAM access of course. Also, have the overclock up a bit.

I have been playing N64 games flawlessly, no problems at all. But I want to know if there is another option I should tweak around a bit to be able to have the ability to record with sound and have the games run full speed? It's the only thing I don't understand of this wonderful emulator.

Thank you all in advance.

Best bet would be frameskip (if the core supports it - auto or 1 or 2 (then see if it helps)). Lowering rendering resolution (if you don't already run it at native N64 resolution) should improve performance as well. Those are the two I can think of off the top of my head.

Thank you notimp, I have seen your help here in the forum, it is direct and helpful.

I'll try!!

I'm not asking for ETA but are there any plans on adding dynarec for pcsx rearmed? I'm waiting for it since retroarch is a thing on the switch, being able to play ps1 games on HD would be amazing.

You can use dynarec on android now. Its nice for dithereing and removing the overclock but its not really enough to get even 2x smooth.

Yeah it's really weird.. You can play n64 and psp games with a higher HD resolution almost flawlessly but ps1 games only with a native resolution. Ps1 HD would be so awesome
