Hello again. I just watched a YT video that said you have to launch Haxchi or Mocha every time before you go to launch an inject. Is this the only way to do it or is there a way to not have to do that every time you want to boot up an inject? Thanks!!

Yeah that's true, unless you get CBHC which autoboots CFW then you don't have to do anything but let the Wii U boot and never worry about it again. You will have to purchase a DS game (Brain Age usually is about $7) to get Haxchi first then install CBHC over it. There is a little bit of a risk with CBHC that people have bricked, but it's usually when they do something silly like delete it from their system. For that reason some avoid it. But I've had it about two years had no issues.

Got it. I already have Haxchi installed via Brain Age, so I'm good there. I'll probably move to doing CBHC. Question - what would happen if you tried to load an inject without running Haxchi first?

Gives you an error and have to reboot your Wii U. Nothing permanent.
OK, that's good.
Is it OK to put HAXCHI inside a folder on the WiiU menu? The instructions I read said to put it on the last page of the WiiU menu (so nothing happens to it), but I'd rather hide it inside a folder.
Also - When I just went to install CBHC it warned me not to "uninstall or move" the selected game. What does it mean by move? It means move it - let's say from internal storage to external, right? Not like moving it within the WiiU menu... right?

CBHC is a filthy hack and not really necessary. The CFW's patches stays active until the next reboot so running Haxchi once manually when you turn on the console is enough unless you plan on rebooting constantly.

The video I saw said you had to launch it every time you wanted to start a new game, not just when you first boot up the WiiU, which could be kind of annoying. I mean - it's not that bad to do that - but I'm thinking more of my kids messing it up as the WiiU is their main console. They won't delete anything. They don't ever go near those kinds of settings, so I'm not worried about that.

But why are you so against CBHC - calling it a "filthy hack"??

Because that's what it is. It's a modified Haxchi that changes an important configuration file, making it the app that is launched when the console boots instead of the System Menu.
However the system has no fallback option. If something happens with the DS game and it becomes unable to be launched, you have a brick.

So I haven't started the process of setting up injects yet - still gathering information. But I did notice something on my WiiU last night that I hope someone can help me with. I noticed that leaving the Homebrew Channel exists to the WiiU Mii Maker. So, then I tried starting the WiiU Mii Maker and it booted right into the Homebrew Channel. Is there any way to revive the Mii Maker app?

I have a similar issue except mine won’t inject at all, it keeps crashing at nfs point? I haven’t a clue & I’ve gotten myself so confused now as this has been going on a couple of weeks & it’s driving me mad lol

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I just don’t have a clue what to do anymore as I’m so confused but I think it’s becauase I’m trying to enter that title ID what it states in the GC bit when it’s actual retail games I have but can someone help me out here please thanks

View attachment 179551
That seems like a computer issue to me. Check your antivirus and Windows Defender.

Also go to your Temp folder under your username and delete WiivCInjector folder while it's running and retry.

Oh you're on Mac? Might be why IDK I've never used a Mac ever. It's really something you should come out and say because I believe this program was made with Windows in mind and that could be the problem.

I don't know what you mean by entering title ids for Gamecube injects you don't have to do that. I've injected probably 80 or so Gamecube injects and never entered any title id so I don't know where you're getting that you need to. Bottom line your issue is probably Mac related.

Hi, thanks for the reply & sorry I should have totally mentioned the Mac at the beginning so I do apologise. I don’t think it’s that though as I’ve read other posts about it happening to them & they weren’t on mac & im using wine also but Basically I just need to work out the process from a to b with the injector as it was from the injector virtual console side & the keys site that I thought I had to also then start adding or using other title keys & because I ripped the GC games with cleanrip it automatically gives you a dump.txt file, a game.bca file & a game.iso file & the bca & dumpinfo files have diffirent keys in them that don’t match each other so I thought I had to sort all this out on the keys site also & then I didnt know at what point to use njustool so this is why I’ve gotten so confused lol. Basically what I need to know is with the injector can I simply inject games straight from the cleanrip iso or is there a process to follow before doing the injector route? As all I simply want to do is get my GC & then Wii games onto my wiiu menu so it’s a a simple a-b guide that I need to help me out lol. I know I’m gonna kick myself when I find out this answer as I’m sure it’s just something really simple I’m not doing correctly lol. Thanks

Also just read your last bit of message sorry

I didn’t realise a temporary folder was setup hence why I was also doing the above stuff trying to create my own as I thought u had to do that yourself lol. In this temp folder what goes in there & should be in there & when do u get this folder & how? I did notice extra drives etc when choosing files but I didn’t know which was which in relation to the mac ones so a simple character guide for these would be handy also so I know to put which files in which drives ie E, F, G, Z etc if u get my drift lol.
&
I also forgot to mention that I don’t have any games stored in the vwii side of my Wii u yet also but I do have the cleanrip iso files of around 25 GC games & 25 wii games on a separate HDD to the wiiu one that ive already installed about 50 wiiu games onto with disc2app then WUPInstaller gx2 a few months back (all these games are my actual own copies also if that makes a diffirence)

Right, and all the options shown there mean what? I pushed the "Generate Nintendont Config File" button, but, as I said, I have no familiarity with Nintendont, I followed a step-by-step guide to use it on my old Wii so that it was launched automatically by USB Launcher GX. I really wish there was a guide to using this software so I know how to get everything working.

Which is something I thought that this software did. Hence my asking, "Additionally, how do I specify the vWii files to install?" Your response implies that I need to install it onto the Wii U some other way, so where should I go looking for that?

Hi, so happy I’ve just stumbled across this message as I also thought this program installed them onto the wiiu hdd & Wii u menu as I have been pulling my hair out for weeks now trying to make this work because I couldn’t find a step-by-step step guide so that explains why nothing has been working correctly for me as what I need to know is the exact process from a-b of how you get clean-rip iso files for GC & Wii Games from your Wii hdd over to your Wii u hdd to show up on the wiiu menu pleas. I play the GC ones at the moment by using nintendont on an old spare Wii I have But do have nontendont on the Wii u also but never used it yet

That's normal because the homebrew launcher temporarily "hijacks" Mii Maker in order to gain SD card access. You have to press HOME while in HBL to return to Mii Maker.

For Wii and GC injects the reason you have to run it every game is each time you boot an inject for either it reboots into vWii, then when you're done it reboots into Wii U, effectively making a new boot. So you have to re-run the CFW unless you have CBHC.

Hi All! I'm starting to process my Wii and GC injects. I also have several WiiWare WAD files. Is it possible to create injects for these, too? I'm thinking this might be the vWii NAND Title launcher option, but I'm not sure how to do it...

First you have to install the wads on the vWii, then you can use the program to create the launchers.

Hello, I'm having some problems with my retail wii game injection. I dis everything right, and the game launches (CoD Black Ops), my problem is that the game doesn't have internet connection. First I thought it was a lack of update, so I installed the wad update for this game on the vWii, but it keeps giving me an error saying that there is no connection to the internet. Can someone help me? Also, does the game actually reads the update installed on the vWii memory? Thank you

PS.: I'm using the USA version and my console is EUR, I don't know if that's the problem.

I doubt anyone's going to help you much using a Mac, you need a Windows computer AFAIK. I've seen many posts on here just with people having problems with this while using a Mac and I've seen no solutions so my assumption is it just doesn't work on Mac. I could always be wrong but I've never used a Mac so I can't help you.

I understand what you are saying mate but basically the MAC isn’t the issue, the issue is I don’t know where to begin with this injector tbh hence why I’m just asking for a simple a-b guide on what I need to have setup first before using the injector & then an a-b guide on using the injector that’s all as I tried doing it without a guide & that’s how I got myself very confused. If I had a guide then I could work it out no problem lol

I think the Mac is definitely the issue because of how Windows handles Temp folders. But I'll tell you anyway.

1. Run the program
2. Get Wii U common key and enter under build title and save key (google it, we cannot provide this to you)
3. Get Rhythm Heaven Fever title key and enter under build title and save key (google it, we cannot provide this to you)

Then if you're injecting a Wii game choose Wii retail injection button on top, on the first tab choose game and choose your iso or wbfs file, under 3rd tab gamepad/meta options enter the name of the game and enter any different control options but only if the game can work without a wiimote many games cannot, then click build title. You will have a WUP Installable folder transfer that folder to /install on your sd card, and install with Wup Installer GX2. That's it. If it works for you great, if it doesn't it because you're using a Mac.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Can someone help me with the online problem?

AFAIK there is no fix for that, Black Ops as an inject just doesn't work online. Someone else tried in this thread many pages ago and couldn't get it to work either, and they weren't given a solution. I would try your region though to eliminate that as the problem first.
