Hey all! Welcome to the SMO Modding Hub, a place for research, documentation, and very soon making & loading mods! We can already do a few things such as theoretically make model imports, textures, level edits, & more, but they are untested and the tools are still in development for the game. When Cfw comes out you may see some things pop up from here :)

Hey all! I know what you're thinking right now. "Mario odyssey cannot be modded yet! There is no method!" This is factual, yes, but as for now, me and a few others have created a hub dedicated to primarily (as of now, March 2018) researching and documentation to the decompiled ROM of Odyssey, such as documentating archives and formats (i.e, szs, aras, etc.) Please, don't ask for the ROM.

Most of what you said is currently impossible and will most likely be done much, much farther down the line. The only thing we probably can modify at the current moment is the save file, which has been edited for splatoon 2.

hey all, update post/bump

we can do the following, but cant load ingame just yet, without cfw release:
models injection (without textures)
music (little endian bfstm files, which was a wii u format)
textures injection (with an injection tool still in development by abood)
sfx (should be same method as botw wiiu with hex editing)
level collision (just a little endian version of the wiiuformat)

The only thing I want is snapshot mode filters in normal gameplay.
I'd imagine the snapshot mode filters are possible in normal gameplay by swapping. They're controlled by aamp and byml (both like xml) files which are already editable and ideally should be swappable with the default. We'll just have to wait and see when file editing happens.
