In this pic you can see it is flipped in the other direction where it shouldn't be.

Edit no the orange part is perfectly fine and intact. just the little plastic that looks like a half moon that sticks out on the left side is what you dremel.

Still, I wonder why they haven't built it like that in the first place if that wouldn't be a problem somehow

well you would figure that all the developers would get there brains straight and flip it in one orientation only or at least let it be able to go 3 different orientation but some didn't. right now if you want to play all the games in vert mode this is the only easy way (10 sec).

Sure, I meant the guys behind the Flip Grip. Maybe it's because of the ventilation or something like that. I mean you do cover it up if you put the switch in the other way around, right?

it covers up the vent that is at the top of the switch where you place the game cart, the air still comes out of that vent and down where the orange security tab is on the flip grip so it doesn't seal the vent to where there is no air that come out. the other vent on the bottom backside of the switch is covered the same amount. like i said i did this and have not regretted it at all. if i had another flip grip (which i plan on buying one) its just that my son who has a switch of his own doesnt play pinball as much for me to justify buying another flip grip. i would still do this to the new one that i get for him when i decide to get it.

I am basically bumping now, but does anyone have a sudden, new idea? :P
I wish. I got stuck in any personal development and haven't seen anyone else make movements on it. I ended up doing something similar to what @cruz1383 suggested. I wish it wouldn't cover the vent so much that way, but it's the best option other than maybe 3d printing your own. I like the flip grip's form factor though...

Yeah, I did it as well. You also can't use headphones that way, but it's better than nothing. Thanks again for your efforts :)
