I don't suppose anyone can identify this component because I think I might of knocked it off my board as its not there anymore after replacing the screen connector, apologizes if this has already been asked before.View attachment 179059

Any clues? Thanks

Does anyone know what the T451 chip is used for? it's next to the right joycon and lcd backlight connectors. I am trying to fix a motherboard with water damage, it won't detect the right joycon and I've cleaned up the connector tried 2 different rails and two different known working joycons. I am only guessing the T451 as it's in the same area as the water damage and next to the joycon connector but I've really no idea.

so, after a whole reflow, it was still the same, so I decided to take the big boy off because looks like something was shorted... finally I found the problem :( this is going to hurt!! I dont think I have a way of re-constructuing those pads but I will give it a go with 0.1mm wire

if anybody has any ideas.. speak now or forever hold your piece! Lol

clearly didin't put enough heat in an flux when you removed the chip an peeled the pads.
can see it the way the solder is around those areas.
you really should watch the louis rossmann vids on youtube an the amount of flux he uses to give you an idea where you went wrong.

not having a go just saying

you could eatch an rerun the track then cover it with an epoxy, ive had to do it with a couple of radios where milkshakes would cut tracks for ic mods on radios an ended up butchering the tranceiver.

Tell me, should there be a resistor in the allocated area? it’s on all the photos, but I didn’t have it on the first photo

maybe the case but I used a sucking cup and the chip was dancing before puling up.. and looking with the microscope before removing it showed that corner with some messy stuff stuck between the balls.. I think it was the pad mixed with prior attempts of flux and some fluff.. the pads around with some solder is me been impatient before taking the pic LOL I re-tinned and I was in the process of removing and clean up but couldn't hold it anymore and took the pic :D

a tough one for sure. I dont know if I will be re-building the pads tho, I have already found a donor for the case so this board is now on its own without a frame, I may try as an exercise, I have some CW2500 and copper wires and tape so who knows LOL
