How feasible would it be to add shader support? I realise you can't currently use the GPU for video decoding, but can you apply a shader to the image being displayed after it's decoded?
I'm thinking for 3D SBS (side-by-side) support, for use with a labo-type VR headset. Maybe a shader similar to this one which lets you play Virtual Boy games in retroarch in 3D. It looks like each half of the SBS image (which currently fill each half of the screen) would need to be scaled down and warped slightly for curvature, and the two images would need to be positioned the right distance apart.

How do I use subtitles? I have my .srt files in the same folder as my .mkv files, with each subtitle file the same filename as the video it belongs to, but the subtitles don’t show up and I don’t know how to enable them.

Usually I put the subtitles in the same folder as the video with the same file name both.
Anyway I don't remember if srt files are supported, did you read it anywhere?

I’m asking which subtitle format are YOU using, or which format works for you. I read the post and I couldn’t find any info.
Srt works for me
You have to enable the subtitle, play the file in pplay and flick the controller to the right you'll see the subtitle option

Im on 8.1.
9.0 is ready to be installed on my system (as in it's been downloaded but not installed)
pPlayer will no longer boot unless I update the syste,
Any work around or do I have to wait for AMS to be compatible?
