In celebration of this year's Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. The trailer features new gameplay footage, a closer look at the slums of Midgar, as well as mini-games (squatting game is back!).

The Deluxe Edition is also available to pre-order now. This special edition comes with a hardback art book featuring concept art, a soundtrack selection CD, Summon Materia DLC allowing players to summon Cactuar in game, and a Sephiroth SteelBook Case. On the other hand, the Digital Deluxe Edition contains a digital art book, a digital soundtrack selection, and Summon Materia DLC allowing players to summon Carbuncle and Cactuar in game.

Those who pre-order any version of the game will also receive the Chocobo Chick Summon Materia DLC at launch. Those who pre-order any digital edition from the PlayStation®Store will also receive the Cloud & Sephiroth Dynamic Theme for the PlayStation®4 system.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for the PlayStation 4 from March 3, 2020.

>< damn wish I NEVER sold my ps4 now
On the bright side: it might only be a one-year exclusive. Nearly every other Final Fantasy game has been made available on Steam.

At least that's what I'm hoping for, because even if I buy at launch for PS4, I expect this game will run at 30 FPS with frequent drops below that.

Looks good, but I'd rather wait 'til 2025 when it's all done to play it.
This is me half joking, but this game has taken so long just to get this far. ;p
No one wil wait 2 or 3 years for 2nd part I'd say even if was 2 or 3 months noone would wait:lol:

Nope I don't think this qualifies as a remake. The is a reboot, they changed way to much to call this a remake, it's not even close to being the same game.
It's not even the same type of game and the story has been drastically alterer with even new characters that seems significant to this game.

Better for them to call it Final Fantasy VII - Reboot or Final Fantasy VII - 2020

@DaniPoo I think the same this is a game inspired in FFVII kinda like Re2 remake was announced by Capcom to be a "Re imagination" from the original, this game has the same vibe.

Really love how the Turks look!
I love how all the characters have a lot more personality in them on the remake.
Needless to say, everything we saw so far is only a portion of the first half of the original game's first disc, but it looks a lot bigger than before.
The part where they show where Shinra already dropped the plate is in the last 3rd of the disc isn't it?
