I was on 3.65 enso and, in an effort to remove my PSN account from my system, booted into safe mode and performed a system reset. I thought this would be okay due to this often repeated message:

""Will I lose the hack if I format my Memory Card or restore the systems settings?" - No, you can nearly do everything with your device and you will not lose HENkaku. You must just NOT reinstall the 3.65 PUP."

After doing such, my vita still shows the enso symbol at boot, but when you go into the sysyem settings, it shows version "3.65" (without the japanese) and doesnt have the henkaku settings or version spoof options anymore. Basically looks like stock 3.65 besides the enso symbol at boot. I booted into safe mode again and rebuilt databases and that didn't help. I have all my apps (including vitashell) backed up by qcma, but that is worthless because it won't let me use them because they are attached to my old id. I cant sign back into the old id because it's trying to force me to update my system. I have my activation files from the since detached account and ur0 tai backed up, but can't get then back on because I don't have vitashell.

This is the ultimate cluster. Any idea how I can get back on my hacked firnware? Following the guide again to reinstall hencore/enso seems like an option, but I'm also weary because that enso symbol is still popping up and I fear installing over it without first uninstalling something could break things.

Any help would be appreciated. Wouldnt have even chanced this if not for that stupid message from the flow saying this was safe and everything ive read saying restore was so harmless to do. Don't believe it.

I understand the headaches of a system restore all too well. it's best to do that on 3.60 so you can install molecular shell. you might try using the new method. I haven't personally tried it (only used the old method to install 3.65, but I think there's an option to install vita shell). however, you may need an account id to get the right alphanumeric to encrypt the game. I'm thinking that there are still some issues with 3.65 if you don't have an account id. I could be wrong about this, but qcma wouldn't work for me without an account id. I think that id is used via an algorithm to decrypt/encrypt content.

henkaku settings is from the henkaku.suprx. I believe that can be placed anywhere. when henkaku settings disappeared for me, I took that file and dropped it into ur0:tai and restarted. you may be able to drop vita shell into the app folder and rebuild the database assuming that you're on enso and using gamesd.skprx. I think that works for anything but nonpdrm content.

Unreal, but I think I got everything back. Used a dns to log on and avoid update, was able to pull hencore off qcma, unlinked memory card, installed vitashell and copied over my backed up ur0/tai and ux0 files. Tried a restore again but first this time unlinking my memory card, which has all my apps on it. As long as I keep that card unlinked, no need for QCMA anymore. So im basically running everything off a trial account.

Only thing that seems to be no longer working is adrenaline. I'm guess that is because my activation files are gone? I recall reading there was a new version that didnt require activation anymore - am I mistaken?

You can install the latest version of Adrenaline , version 6 onward doesn't require any activation

I´m glad you did it, just delete adrenaline and download and install latest version, this one don´t need activation.
I think I'm solid. Thank you both for the help.

Is it possible to just grab save data off of my old card with vitashell and just copy it over to another where I have the game installed? This has now gone so well I may actually be able to salvage my old saves.

Hi I had the same issue, I wanted to remove my main psn account from my recently ps vita hacked/donwgraded 3.65/enso so I entered to recovery and factory reset.
The result is the same as @kevinamold described.

I will follow the 3.65 guide from vita.hacks.guide to restore henkaku and then get enso again but I am not sure how to remove the account from the system after that. I want to have just the trial account, someone can guide me?

afaik, you need an account on the vita to install henkaku, then ensou on 3.65. I think that's one of the reasons people downgrade to 3.60.

If there is no other way I will use a new account. Do you know any app for transfer user saves to another?
