If I ever decide that I only do legit games, I hope that sticking only with them means that I don't get banned.
As long as you've never done "non-legit" games (or stupid shit like cheating online), you'll be fine.

I've been online in Atmosphere for the last 9 months, playing legit games. Nothing happened.

Well, that won't last for too long, as I own zero legit games myself. Although I don't cheat online, just me installing downloaded NSP files is enough to taint my system, unless I go back to a backup made before that time (which I did).

Atmosphere can run cartridge games fine, just make sure you're not using the nogc patches.

Could you explain better this mate? Its an option to flag?

Legitimate physical and digital games are the only officially supported way of playing games Atmosphere :shrek:

OFC...i just want to finish xenoblade chronicles 2 even on CFW using my save ;)

Atmosphere includes patches that disable the cartridge reader to avoid updating it if your switch shows a fuse count of 4 or lower (firmware under 4.0.0).

If your switch came with firmware 4.0.0 or higher they're not enabled for you by default, so you'll be fine to just plug-and-play.

If your switch came with a firmware lower than 4.0.0 and you haven't burned any fuses since then, you'll want to add the line "nogc = 0" to the bottom of your BCT.ini in SD:/atmosphere/BCT.ini to forcefully disable the patches and update your cartridge reader.
Keep in mind that if your cartridge reader receives the update, it will not function on firmware below 4.0.0.
Additionally, it is not possible to downgrade the cartridge reader if it receives the update.

Really really thank you! I understood everything!

My switch come from fw 5.1.0 (too bad) so i think i'll be fine with just plug-and-play.

The newest information are that AMS is done, but still remain the final compilations and official release preparation. I can't wait :)

"9.x update: as a stopgap measure, Atmosphere's support update will add a mitm that fixes the HID initialization issue. We'll remove it in a future Atmosphere release, after devs have had some time to re-compile their homebrew without having to rush."

remember the xbox live 'ban waves' nintendo may be flagging consoles that show different behavior and we wouldn't know until the axe droops

I got banned for some ams crashes a lot ago (I didn’t play pirated games back then) so yeah, once you pop, you can’t stop

Great to hear it - already downloaded and trying to boot

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Quick question. I have uploaded AMS 9.4 - but I did it with standard approach.

1. Copied new files to SD Cart
2. Run Tegra RCM and choose new fusee-primary

Console launched well and I can go to "Album"+R to see the AMS soft.

But when I try to open game from SD Card - I got error.

What I missed?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Does it mean I have to re-upload all games again?

sigpatches?

Isn't it the new AMS already there 9.4 which I installed and I can see it in the console?
Atmosphere is not supporting piracy or unsigned NSP's(homebrew) by default.

using kosmos or another cfw pack may include sigpatches and that's how you run unsigned code on your CFW.
Those sigpatches are not working with the latest Switch system update

Technically, Fusee Gelee and Deja Vu already both allow you to run unsigned code via CFW and homebrew. All the patches do is allow you to run dumps whether they are yours or someone else's.
