Yes there is always a risk of connecting a hacked console to Nintendo's servers without a clean NAND dump.
So dont update, dont hack? Just do nothing? Also not got to emummc ON 8.1??
Just went all offline and created eMMC, you can use it, just don't update yet.So dont update, dont hack? Just do nothing? Also not got to emummc ON 8.1??

It is located under Tools.I feel so lost. Every guide I can find says:
- Enter RCM and inject the Hekate payload
- Use the touch screen to navigate to Tools and then Backup eMMC
In the screenshots and the videos, I see some blueish GUI with a clear icon eMMC. I'm doing just that and enter some text mode, where I can navigate with volume buttons and power button. There's Launch, Tools etc, and looks like this one is the Hekate interface, but no eMMC options there. What am I doing wrong?
That's the thing. We do not fully know how Nintendo is banning people. Error logs are only one cause out of a number of potential ban causes.I understand that but if error logs are being written to the sd card what else would be written to the nand I should be concerned about?
You cannot use Lockpick_RCM on emuMMC. And title takeover is when you use a presently installed title to load the homebrew menu. Similar to how you hold R when you open the Album, you can hold R on any other title to open the homebrew menu.I have used 4NXCI to convert about ten games from xci to nsp and it has worked with all games except Crash Team Racing. It says "Unknown meta type! Are keys correct?". I dumped the key-file with lockpick_rcm while on firmware 4.1.0. Now I am on emunand 8.1.0. I guess that I need to dump newer keys but when I run lockpick from homebrew manager it says it can only dump keys up to firmware 7. It says I have to run lockpick_rcm. How can I run lockpick_rcm from within emunand?
Also, I am trying to run Checkpoint to backup my Zelda Save, but it does nothing when I click on it from homebrew manager. Checking the log file it says "Please run Checkpoint under Atmosphére title takeover. AppletType is 2."
How do I do that?

You can currently only use the homebrew version of Lockpick on RCM. In order to get keys past firmware 7.0, you need to either dump them from a sysMMC running that firmware or obtain them illegally from the Internet which we cannot help you with on this site as it is against the rules. So, is there another way of getting the newer keys while on emunand? Or do I need to update sysnand to get the keys?
Does the update somehow affect the atmosphere installation process? I guess I shouldn't update my sysnand normally before intalling cfw, right?
How to have a clean nand without backup ?
ho avuto il mio interruttore con il firmware 2.0.0.
-Quindi aggiorno online alla 5.1.0.
-Modalità aereo -Usare
SX OS Pro e ho installato sfortunatamente 2 .nsp. (sempre modalità aereo)
-Ieri ho aggiornato alla 8.1.0 di ChoiDujourNX.
Ora desidero creare un Clean Emunand per andare online e usare altre partizioni per giocare offline con xci.
Posso farlo in sicurezza? Immagino di non aver mai inviato al server Nintendo, nessun registro, solo che ho aggiornato il mio Switch dalla 2.0.0 alla 5.1.0.
You cannot boot anything on 9.0 except OFW so that is why you got the unknown pkg1 version error. However, emuMMC should be able to boot. What exactly was the error code?So I made an emuNAND like a week ago. I had 8.1.0 on my sysNAND and 8.1.0 with Atmosphere on my emuNAND. Yesterday I updated to 9.0.0 on sysNAND to play online (yes I know there's a grace period...I'm stupid). The Switch restarted ok in 9.0.0. sysNAND, but when I wanted to boot to 8.1.0 emuNAND after the logos all that happened was an Atmospherecrash log. I don't know if that has to do with fuses. When I try to boot 9.0.0 sysNAND a red error message that says something about unknown pkg1 version flashes for like a fraction of a second before going back to Hekate. Do both of these have to do with Hekate or Atmosphere not being ready for 9.0.0 yet and just wait until they are, or is it something else?

Hi,
i had my switch with firmware 2.0.0.
-Then i update online to 5.1.0.
-Airplane mode
-Use SX OS Pro and i have installed unfortunally 2 .nsp. ( always airplane mode )
-Yesterday i updated to 8.1.0 di ChoiDujourNX.
Now i wish to make an Clean Emunand to come online, and use others partition to play offline with xci.
Can i do that in safe? I guess that i never sent to Nintendo server, any logs, only that i updated my Switch from 2.0.0 to 5.1.0.
If your console is patched, then it is indeed too late. If it is not patched, then you can either wait until CFW supports firmware 9.0 or downgrade the firmware to one that CFW currently supports. You can check if it is unpatched or not by looking at the serial number then comparing it to the list in this threadI'm a very noob to this. My sister just updated her switch to the latest version. Is it too late to jailbreak the switch now? Atmosphere are not compatible right now to 9.0 + versions, right ?
Use ChoiDujour to flash any firmware from 1.0 to 6.1. And next time, remember that BOOT0/BOOT1 are console-specific.Hi team,
Few months ago my Switch stop booting (black screen) so I did a very stupid thing after reading few tutorials, I tried to write the boot0 and boot1 backup from my second Switch to the first one using SXOS. Now I've lost my boot0 and boot1. Is there a way to get my Switch working again even if it's only for unnoficial games?
Thanks in advance
It is possible to downgrade with that tutorial.Hello. I'm new here. I have a small problem. My switch is a first gen one and it was on 8.1.0 I was unable to install atmosphere because the sd card that I was using was damaged. I got a new one and I'm using hekate to back up eMMC BOOT0 & BOOT1 and eMMC RAW GPP... But the problem that I have is that auto update was on so now my console is on 9.0.0
Is it posible to downgrade using this tutorial (*"h t t p s : // switch.homebrew.guide / usingcfw / manualchoiupgrade "*)? Since I don't have a nand back up? I already extracted my keys...
Or should I wait until atmosphere or other kind of emu becomes compatible with 9.0.0?
Thank You!
If you didn't make a NAND backup before hacking the console, you cannot make a clean NAND backup.
Mount the emmc in hacdiskmount.
For 100% clean emmc...
Mount SYSTEM, bis key 2.
You will have:
Contents
save
saveMeta (maybe)
1) Delete saveMeta folder if it exists.
2) Go in to save, delete everything apart from 8000000000000120 - you will want to complete initial setup when booted!
3) Go into Contents/placehld. Delete anything that may be in here (probably empty)
4) Go to SD card, delete Nintendo folder. It is now useless.
Unmount, boot. Done.
No it is not safe and I absolutely do not recommend it because it may not even work and it could lead to a higher risk of getting banned. That is not even taking into account the potential risk of a brick.i see this tutorial, you know? is safe ?
