There should be a title ID associated with that error. Delete it from your SD card to resolve the error code.

Just did that, didn't solve :(

EDIT: there was another folder with that title apparently, I deleted it and everything is working again! Ty very much.

Hbg/shop 4.0.0 just released.
I believe I need to just drag'n drop the contents of the rar to the root of my SD card. But the releaser said I should delete the tinfoil folder.
Do I need to redownload tinfoil or am I good to go?
I have no ideas what I'm doing.

Thanks for your help so much. If I burn fuses when upgrading to 8.1.0 via official Nintendo, what's the point of making "clean" 4.1.0 sysnand backup, meaning if I restore this backup, my Switch will brick (wrong fuse count), right? Should I update and make the backup afterwards? And if I update sysnand via ChoiDujourNX will it brick as well, as the fuse count will be wrong again? Sorry for noob, but so frustrated.

I can answer a few of these, as I have had some experience with it already.

1- Judging by your response(and the prevous owner's) there is a high chance that it is running AutoRCM already (you can make sure about it by using Hekate's payload and checking under "tools - AutoRCM" more details here https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/extras/autorcm/), so yeah, If the console runs out of battery or is turned off, you will have to send a Atmos' payload by either using TegraRCM on your PC or a dongle with the payload, I really recommend you getting a dongle as they are relatively cheap and will save you a ton of time and work. more info about how to do it here: https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/sending_payload/

2- You can either install the games using goldleaf or tinfoil, the file format that goldleaf supports is .nsp, and the installing process is rather simple, get the game on your SD if the file is below 4GBs(Fat32 won't allow you to place files heavier than 4GBs on your SD unless you partion it, but it is a tedious job), and install it directly from goldleaf, or use the remote install option with Goldtree if it is heavier than 4GBs. more info on that here https://switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/installnsps/installnsps-goldtree

EDIT: about the compatibility isues, while installing some NSPs, goldleaf might tell you that you're missing sigpatches or that you firmware is too low, a partial fix has been posted by the user "Ryft", you can read more about that here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/8-1-0-a...missing-sigpatches.547295/page-2#post-8780696

3- It might simply be the case of a faulty joycon, I have experienced it as well and only getting a new pair of joycons fixed it, though someone who knows another fix may be able to help you
Awesome. Thanks for the help.

By the way, what’s the situation with updating games through Nintendo’s servers? Recipe for getting banned?

I installed kefir and now edizon crashes the switch, in the morning I'm going to attempt to restore my NAND from last year them update to 8. Whatever the last firmware was. Would this fix edizon or am I better off waiting for the next OFW and atmosphere to catch up? Also i can't delete the profile kefir created is it possible? Sorry if this breaks rules and for being long winded.

Im considering jailbreaking my switch. Im on FW 8.10. Doubt is, I know 9.0 just released so if I jailbreak it with atmosphere on 8.10 and later on 9.0 ends up being compatible, how would I be able to update the already hacked Switch? thanks

The brick that occurs with a fuse mismatch can easily be bypassed by using a bootloader that bypasses the fuse check. Substitute bootloaders are the payloads you send in RCM via USB that boot CFW such as Hekate. In English, as long as you are booting through RCM, you can boot any firmware you want.

Connecting to Nintendo's servers with a hacked console always has a risk for a ban/

Restore your NAND backup. This will delete the profile Kefir created as long as the NAND backup was made before Kefir was used.

Theres no need to worry about restoring NAND(fuses count) if I restore NAND within the same version or for example 8.00 to 8.10? or do small updates also burn fuses?

I usually update cfw file first then update system firmware with autorcm using choidujourNX. Order doesn't really matter much, as you also need to update newer sig Patches.
Damn so many things. I was thinking of hacking my switch but this is starting to get frustrating. Is there a guide that explains this updating process? thanks

Hekate is developed by a single developer who is not affiliated with Atmosphere. This developer takes his time for pushing more stable and substantial changes so it typically lags behind Atmosphere.

What do you recommend in my case then? I wanna have a clean sysnand for legit stuff(online) and emunand (offline) for backups etc. Should I Make a NAND backup on 8.10 and use atmosphere on 9.0 or?

You generally only need one NAND backup. And who knows how long it will take for Atmosphere to support firmware 9.0. Also next time you post a thread with a question, I will not respond to your posts in this thread anymore.

oh sorry about that, I wasn't sure which was the right place to post my question. Still figuring out these things. So that means I could make my NAND backup on 8.10., update switch to 9.0 when atmoshphere works on 9.0. If I ever needed to restore my NAND, would that drop my SYSNAND to 8.10? (trying to get this right). Thank you. Once again, sorry for the double post.

Well unless you're a diehard online player, there is no advantage to being on 9.0. Heck, it is arguably worse to be on 9.0 since you can still play online with 8.1 while enjoying CFW/homebrew. There is little to no reason to update now.

to add on to what Drax has said if you update to 9.0 before doing anything else then you're SOL until cfw updates
