My boyfriend and I both have the same problem with our switch. We use sx os so we can play xci's on the emuNAND.
Now everytime when we have played a game on emuNAND, we get a temporarily ban when we try to play splatoon online on the sysNAND.
When I got the message (error code: 2181 4017) it was gone the next morning and I could play again, so I'm sure it's not an actual ban.
Our switches are in stealth mode and emuNAND is in airplane mode. We boot OFW using the SX menu.
I did see some posts that said you have to remove your sd when you're going to use sysNAND, is this true? I couldn't find it on the SX OS site.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm sorry if it has been asked many times before, but I couldn't find an answer when I searched on Google.

[update] I have been booting my switch into ofw by just pressing the power button without using a dongle. I've been doing this for two weeks and haven't been banned yet.
It seems the ban isn't the same for everyone, I was unbanned after one night, but my boyfriend is still banned after more than two weeks.

If you boot sysnand with sxos you are still in cfw, so they will know you are doing bad things, you can only use sysnand without any cfw and only use original cartridges

Thank you, that's what I've been trying to do exactly that and it seems to be working!

Not really, you can boot ofw from sx menu without cfw. Useful when using autorcm.

How did you boot your switch to play online?

Sx menu to ofw or sx menu-disable emunand-boot sx os?

I used to boot by choosing ofw in the sx menu. After the ban I just turned my switch on without using the dongle and I haven't been banned since.

I meant ofw. Why would you boot ofw from a rcm payload when you can boot it thw oficial way safely

If you are trying to keep your fuse count low it makes sense, out of this scenario not really.

These comments are false. If you boot CFW then you’re in CFW. If you boot OFW you’re in OFW no matter how you boot it through both SX OS and Hekate. Only time you boot CFW Sysnand is without having emuNAND toggled on SX OS or a custom boot with hekate. Booting through CFW into OFW is safe, the only way it could lead to ban is if Nintendo checks sd cards. Which won’t happen. You don’t remove the sd card. You got banned for doing something wrong. It seems like you didn’t keep your Sysnand clean by playing online in emuNAND? You’re supposed to play online in Sysnand, and keep it clean. EmuNAND is where you play XCI or NSP and keep in stealth mode, airplane mode, or incognito. You shouldn’t ever go online in emuNAND.

According to the OP though booting OFW through a payload isn’t safe and is what temp banned her.

Seems if so that Nintendo is checking fuse count and probably now that she burnt them up to 8.1.0 she can use OFW through the payload again.

This also means that obviously OP didn’t block telemetry on her router / dns if Nintendo temp ban her for bad fuse count and knew about her fuse count.

I highly doubt that, there’s been no reports as of yet and I’ve been doing it for a year. AutoRCM, boot through Hekate, use CFW offline emuNAND only, and boot OFW SysNAND through either SX OS or Hekate.

Guys If I have updated sysnand to 9.0 and my emunand is on 8.1 will I burn my fuse if I boot again to emunand 8.1?

I`m having hard time understanding the scenario when I would burn my fuses considering SXOS is disabling fuses count so booting with AutoRCM should be fine and when you boot to OFW without RCM you should have always the right amount of fuses. Help me please at what scenario I will burn fuses if I keep both emunand and sysnand with the same FW
