UPDATE FINAL: Walked into bestbuy and got me a 256gb samsung msd. It worked and my backup has verified. So much fake micro sd cards out there, and they look legit.

UPDATE 2: I uploaded the test results H2testw and I guess it confirms its a fake SD card and that where my problem is. I dont know if I feel more ashamed or angry to get caught with this. I guess ill leave this post up to help out any other poor soul that this happens to.

UPDATE: SD CARD might be FAKE!!! I paid alot of money and the sd card came in official packaging. H2testw right now! I will let you guys know.

Attached is 1 image of rawnand.bin failing verification. I dont know why and ive googled alot but no answers. And I did try guiformat.

The other image is rawnand.bin size. It seems to be the right size and doesnt look corrupt.

My sd card is 400gb sandisk 10 I and i tried exfat format and guiformat.exe to fat32 still no work.

Clean switch. Trying to make backups using hekate (5.0.1) before moving forward. and i wont move forward until im sure my nand is good to go plz help

delete the dumps and try again. even if it doesnt look corrupt, theres that chance that evern one little byte of data could be corrupt and causing problems.

I did 4 times. Verification fails on different percentages, like sometimes 0% or 5% or 40%.
I dont know if its my SD card exfat format 400gb causing it. And it seems no one else is having this problem, only this 1 post i found but it was a bug in a lower firmware of hekate.

Everytime i try a backup it takes a long time, ill keep trying until it works or someone helps me. If it works ill post that it did. Plox help someoneeeee.

Thanks for the quick reply btw!

Did you order from BestBuy online and got the fake card, or did you pick up the fake card directly from a store?

I can't believe you got me with that

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    How are you doing?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    That sounds really cool

I know the basics but no strategy at all
