Wow thanks guys. I'll look into incognito.

So it will stop me being able to use anything online at all on this switch?

Only on emuNAND if you install it there.
Just make sure you don't lose the PRODINFO backup, you can't restore online access without it. Doesn't really matter if you still have the original PRODINFO on sysNAND, but if you decide to patch both and disable online completely (which I don't really see a point in doing) it's important to keep it safe. Both on your PC and on some cloud storage, it's a small file so it shouldn't be a problem.

Cool is that easy to find?

I assume by patching emuNAND you still recommending removing auto-RCM and booting into the OFW with the jig? And you think thats like 99% safe now?

Or am I still ok booting into OFW (and going online) via the SXOS menu?

Thanks so much again!

Is what easy to find? Incognito? Yeah, there's a thread here on the Temp.

You should boot OFW normally, no jig, no AutoRCM. But that has nothing to do with patching emuNAND. I meant, run the Incognito homebrew in emuNAND. I can't really say for sure how safe it is, but it's the best you're gonna get at this point.

You should avoid using the OFW option in SX menu if you can.

I still don't understand what constitutes a ban. I've been using SX OS since day 1 and have used some homebrew on my sysnand (before emunand option was available). To date, I'm still not banned, but I suppose it could be flagged for an eventual ban someday? There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason since other folks were banned shortly after using anything homebrew-related.

Ah I meant the PRODINFO file sorry that you say I should back up? Should it be on my SD card somewhere now?

So as it stands now, with AutoRCM on, I should go in and turn that off. When I do that, does that mean when I boot the Switch normally it will go into OFW?

But then how do I get to the CFW sections.

Sorry if this sounds dumb, I've hacked pretty much every system I've ever had without issues, but this is confusing the heck out of me!!

So how do you use SXOS? Do you boot into OFW from the SXOS boot menu and go online? Or are you strictly offline etc?

I have a trinket m0 chip installed, and i boot directly into SXOS emunand by default. If I ever want to go on the eshop, I boot into OFW from the SXOS boot menu. For the most part though, I'm offline

After you run Incognito it will be on your SD card.
Without AutoRCM you will need a jig and the power+vol up button combo to get into CFW, booting normally takes you to OFW.

They don't seem to be handing out bans as much now. But rest assured they know what people are doing and could at any time decide to hand out bans to those that have been flagged.

So if I do this method and boot normally into OFW, I can go online again in relative safety you'd think?

Did you run Incognito on SX OS? I did it and it invalidated my license or it failed the check. I had to restore Prodinfo to get it working again as i guess the license is serial number based...?

Odd, no problems for me. I use SX OS as my daily driver. I usually have airplane mode on though, so try that?

Probably.

Yeah, a lot of people have done that. But a tablet only is like 200 bucks right? Far more than it's worth, IMO. Rather buy another full Switch and have an extra charger and dock, and sell the extra JoyCon pair.

Hi all,

After SXOS'ing my Switch this week, I kinda regret it for a lot of reasons and now may consider selling it and buying a new model and going back to straight-edge living! lol

What would I need to do in terms of my Nintendo account for selling it i.e. removing them? Also has a 400gb card which I'd rather not sell - but would if it comes to it - but what could I move onto a new smaller SD card to keep it modded?

OR.... I'd be happy to reverse out the changes I made if thats even possible and go back to how it was before?!

Thanks for any advice!

If you want to sell it, I’ll buy it my friend!

You should be okay. While there is a possibility you may get banned for what you already did, it is the lowest tier. Going online again won't make it worse. Disable autorcm, use the switch as if you never hacked it, and enjoy it. If there is a day that you want to mess with CFW, you can pop the jig in and boot with a payload. Incognito is only useful for deleting your switch identity, so you can go online with CFW for networking stuff and Nintendo will reject your communication because they can't ID your system.

Also, bans affect the console only, so if you buy games, and you get banned, you can use your account with a different switch instead.

There is so much emphasis on getting banned, but there's no point on worrying about it. You may never get banned. Nobody knows. Use your switch, as it was intended, without fear.

facepalm.. seriously.. this is almost as bad the seller listing their switch on facebook marketplace for $150 because it wouldn't charge any more on the third party dock they used. When asked if they had tried directly plugging the charger into the bottom, no it had never occurred to them.

Is it though? That bad?
