Hardware AERO 15 vs Razer Blade 15 - (RTX2060s / 1080P)

Hi all.

---details (can be skipped if you are in a hurry)---
I am considering buying my first gaming Laptop. The last Gaming HW I owned had a gtx580 so you guys can have an idea of how out of date I am on this topic . I'd rather build a Desktop PC but since I live in central america it is a lot easier for me to get someone to bring me a laptop from the US than an actual Desktop PC on a plane flight/luggage. Not only that, if something goes wrong or there is a defect, getting resolution from central america (shipping the product back, etc) will be insane for me, so ideally looking for something with the least possibility to come with a defect or cause issues. I have searched for weeks between aorus, msi , asus, etc, and considering youtube/amazon reviews, I've placed my eyes on below two options and I would like more experienced opinions from you guys. I also considered getting those cheaper 1660ti laptops at around 1200$ but build quality is not that great and I need something that could last quite a number of years.

Option#1 Gigabyte AERO 15 Classic-WA-F74ADP 15" Thin Bezel LG 144Hz FHD IPS LCD, i7-9750H, GeForce RTX 2060, 16GB RAM, M.2 PCIe 512GB Intel 760P SSD, 94Wh

Option#2 Razer Blade 15 Gaming Laptop 2019 - Intel Core i7-9750H 6 Core, GeForce RTX 2060, 15.6" FHD 1080p 144Hz, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, CNC Aluminum, Chroma RGB Lighting, Thunderbolt 3

Things I personally look for:
1. Ease of upgrade in the future. Like upgrading RAM to 32gb or SSD.
2. Hopefully good audio quality (not speakers, but rather be able to get at least 24bits over headphone jack)
3. Less possibility of having defects and good build quality.

Have you guys had any experience with these laptops or brands? What do yous guys recommend and why?

The above laptops are pretty good for 1080p and maybe even 1440p.
I would get the Razer. Since it has Thunderbolt 3, you could possibly get an eGPU enclosure in the future and play games, if the RTX2060 is outgunned.
How long can you wait to get your laptop?

I think both of those options have thunderbolt 3. I don't mind waiting a few months, not in a super rush.

If you have the money to buy a gaming laptop, why not build a PC.
I guarantee you you'll get something better.

These laptops are now at 1899$, it's far more reasonable than what they were a few months back. Sure building a PC is better, specially long term, but I live in Central America, buying it locally will cost about 50% more than if I were to build it in the US. In terms of getting it to me I was planning on buying it online, have it shipped to friend in the US and have him bring me the laptop in their luggage. I can't really do that with a desktop PC as it would far more complicated, and if things arrived damaged (like a prebuilt PC), it would be quite a pain. And asking a friend for a favor to bring me a laptop is far more feasible then asking them to bring me 10+ separate parts.

10th gen ULV Intel chips have started appearing on laptops. I'm not sure about Razer's or Gigabyte's refresh cycle, but it's not too long before we see the proper quad or six core 10th gen intel chips on these performance oriented laptops too.

Ah ok interesting. Not that I would go for the new 10th gen because that would sure spike the price back to 2500$+ but if that's released the one I'm looking at should drop even more in price :-) guess I'll wait a few months until I buy the Razer.

Thanks, but it looks like it is actually comparing the older blade model with the Core i7-8750H.

Have you ever thought about clevo based laptop?
One almost similar specs. More laptop choices here.
Then there is the option for barebone Clevo Laptop if you want to go that route, but seems to be not worth it as sometimes the laptop parts are a pain to source.

Ice lake is currently only for mainstream mobile devices, coffee lake is still for high performance mobile devices.

Something like the i7-8750h (coffee lake) or i7-9750h (coffee lake 2019 refresh).

Maybe next year...

I know, that's why I asked how long can OP wait, incase they would wait till Q1 2020 or Q2 2021 for the performance intel mobile 10th gen cpus.

I personally don't think I'll be waiting til 2020 or 2021. I understand waiting enables the ability to get better HW for the same price, but you also never stop waiting lol. I've been waiting to get a laptop since the gtx900 series were available and been postponing it due to multiple reasons. I've been on my current job for 5 years and working in moving to a new job in the coming months so I thought that maybe I should spoil myself for once lol. I'll go with the Razer, will wait a few months though, but I just need to validate that the specific option I posted on my original post is the one that actually comes with the vapor chamber or the one with the normal heat pipes. I think the vapor chamber is better?
