About a year ago, I removed the CFW from my New3DS so I could have a clean device and a separate modded one, though both stopped seeing any use by me soon afterwards because I bought a Switch.
Today, I decided to start messing with the New3DS again, but realized that trying to access the Nintendo3DS and DSiWare menus under Data Management caused a software crash and a system restart.
I'm at a loss as to how I could fix the issue, and would appreciate any help.

My system is up to date and there was no error code, just a message saying:
"An error has occurred, forcing the software to close.
The system will now restart. (Unsaved data may be lost.)"

So, you dont have any CFW, i think this can be hard to solve the problem... You can try to contact Nintendo ? Because here you dont have any solutions without CFW...

This can happen if illegitimate titles are still installed when removing CFW (which is is bad idea in any case). Reinstalling B9S/Luma3DS should solve the problem and/or make further troubleshooting possible.

Note that you can't use the current version of https://3ds.hacks.guide/seedminer as it requires using "DSiWare Data Management". I guess the older method should work: https://3ds.eiphax.tech/frogminer.html (DO NOT install the update for "Steel Diver:Sub Wars")

I would prefer installing B9S with ntrboot in this case.
:!: I will not take any responsibility for damage and/or data loss! My advise is: Reinstall B9S and do not do the things below!

I'm hesitant to tell you "Do a factory reset." This might solve the problem, or not, or might cause even more trouble, but it will delete all your installed legitimate software and make their saves unusable (even if you remove the SD before). Non-legit tickets would stay even after "Format System Memory" and could cause problems (e.g. make buying/downloading games from the eShop impossible).

For the Nintendo 3DS part of the Data Management a less destructive method could work: Try with an empty SD. Hopefully Data Management does not crash anymore and says "No software found". In this case try the following using the second SD as target and not modifying your main SD
  • (manual) save backup of games that do not use Anti Savegame Restore
    • game that do use this feature will delete their progress if you try restoring
    • there is no way back without CFW once you reinstall those games on a different SD
  • reinstalling paid games from the eShop
  • save restore
For the DSiWare section this does not work because DSiWare is stored on the internal NAND – not the SD.

I'm having the same problem as OP. I'll be using the frogminer link to reinstall BS9/Luma3DS. Assuming everything goes off without a hitch, and I'm able to access data management again, where should I go from there? Am I able to uninstall BS9/Luma3DS and get my system back to stock?
