K, found this topic.

So by following along the first post, will I successfully be able to convert a NTSC-U Brawl save to NTSC-J save?
I would like to know this as well. Please somebody answer!

Whenever I try to use this, a command window pops up and then disappears. I've tried it in Compatibility Mode for XP, but it still doesn't work. I'm on Vista.

Sorry for bumping this really old topic, but would someone mind helping me convert my American Super Smash Bros. Brawl save file please?

I've extracted the save file from my Wii, but I don't think that the conversion program works with my computer? How exactly do I get the program to run on my computer, and how long should it take to convert the NTSC file to PAL? I've got the program saved in WinRAR, ready to be extracted, and I have the Brawl save data on my SD card, does the Brawl data have to be on my computer to get it to convert?

Ok you need to have a copy of a PAL save and a USA save of the game. Run savegame manager and extract the save you want too convert. In the folder you want to convert FROM, you will see a file called banner.bin and a folder called nocopy. Go inside the nocopy folder, and highlight Data00 through Data05, and copy them. Go into the folder you want to convert to, and then in the nocopy folder, and overwrite the data files with the one you copied. Now reinstall the save.

Well it works with MH3 anyway.

You should be able to use this method, only for the game of your interest.

Short guide on how to convert a PAL save to NTSC.

***BACKUP YOUR SAVES FIRST, DON'T COME COMPLAINING IF YOU SCREW IT UP AND LOSE YOUR SAVE.***

All you need is Savegame Manager here and a hex editor (Hex Editor Neo is free here).

1. Make sure you have a game save for your NTSC-U version. Then open Savegame Manager and select "extract" and "SD".

2. Find your NSMBW saves (should be listed twice, one for each region) and extract them.

3. You can now delete the PAL save file (it's the one that says "Play Mario with your friends!," while the NTSC-U says "A new Mario adventure!". DO NOT DELETE THE NTSC-U SAVEGAME OR YOU WILL GET THE -106 ERROR WHEN YOU TRY TO REINSTALL IT! If you do by accident, just run the NTSC-U game and create a new one.

4. Now take your SD card and put it in your computer.

5. In the root of your SD card you will find the "savegames" folder with two more folders in it. The one that ends with "45" is NTSC-U and the one that ends with "50" is your PAL save. Open the PAL folder (00010000534d4e50) and open "wiimj2d.sav" with your hex editor.

6. The very first thing you should see on the text side is "SMNP". Change the "P" to "E" (yes it is case sensitive) and save.

7. Copy the edited "wiimj2d.sav" to your NTSC-U folder (00010000534d4e45), and delete the PAL folder.

8. Now insert the SD card back into your Wii and launch Savegame Manager.

9. This time select "install" then "SD" and install your NSMBW save.

None of those methods worked, since the files are different.

I finally made it with this method (the author is the original poster).

Cambiadlo a 15.
- 3g) Borrad AUTOSV1.BIN.

Thanks for help.
