Go ahead If you want a cheap one. It could brick yours. Don't blame us if you go ahead. Buy a official genuine version like Nintendo's license. It is more safe. Expensive ? Save money then.

There isn't really a dock that isn't the offical one that won't brick your switch

Don’t be to cheap, 3rd parties do not know how to handle switch chargin since it not use standard Usb-c protocols. Buy used dock and you also have lot options to mod it to be more portable.

The insignia dock is pretty fine. Here's some info about third party docks and why the bricks happen.

Supposedly the Skull & Co. Jumpgate is good as well, but I have not tested that. I've been using the insignia dock with their power brick and no problems at all. Some people say use a Nintendo power adapter, and preferably you should go that way, but I've had no issues.

I heard that Anker gonna release their dock that will be lincensed by Nintendo, but I think this option not really be cheap. Same situation is with MFi certificated Apple products, where companies pay Apple to make cables etc. that will work after firmware update.
Strange that lot of consoles brick also after 5.X firmware update, I think Nintendo should give information before release that consoles probably brick if not used their fancy dock.
