I haven't yet but I knew he was doing lets plays of certain games. Was aware he was doing this one too just haven't checked it out yet, been busy.

I'm only using my computer on Saturdays for now, and not that many time, but I'm progressing with somethings!

What I have progressed:
1 - I used to learn how to use text translator (I only knew how to used image editor for ds)
2 - I discovered a thing inside battling digimon sprite files that is annoying me. Idk if I'll be able to modify it.

As you guys can see in the picture above, DOT Digimon has 64x64 picture size while regular digimon having 128x128.
Also, DOT walking sprites are the same of those regular ones (32x32) but DOT has 5 images with no frame animation while regular digimon having 9 images with animation.

So, Idk if will be possible replacing DOT digimon for others, but I'll try keeping it up and discovering more things about it at this time.

Hello guys, I checked all 3024 files inside SPR_PAK content from Lost Evolution... and also discovered how to use text translator ;'3

Ok... here goes the 1st snap:

Now, I used text translator in order to see how many characters I can put on DIGInames, and I was SURPRISED!!!

Note:
I know Dorimon is NOT AncientGarurumon, but since I don't have a digimon with many characters like this one, I modified it just for learning sake and... tah, dah! I discovered it IS possible to add more than 8 characters to diginames if you use DEFAULT button left on the screen.

For the last, from all those 3024 files, 166 of them have japanese text so I selected them to translate and I already translated 5 of'em! When all 166 image files get translated/edited I'll move to text-only translation/edition.

Hi, nice work i'm impressed with your deed, but leaving this topic could you do the same thing (dive in the file system of the game) with super robot wars w, and tell me if is possible/non-excruciatingly hard to translate/hack/fix it?

Nope, since I'm havin not that many time to do with Lost Evo and I'm not that hacker to modify another game, I only studied for LE. Also, there's a team working on Super Robot Wars - Exceed for NDS (they are about to release the english patch).

I am sure with you that if you use the default diginame with unicode typing, you will not be able to enter the digimon list forever.

First you need the perfect font set, then you should correct the display diginame on the battle, those things are necessary to complete the translation, if you still do not have those things, you will not complete the translation.

Thanks for the tip, but I have not touched text files yet! All the text I have used to translate were only for learning sake!
Also, how can I do those things?

You must create yourself a set of fonts that allows you to display good diginame on the available Japanese font, be aware that digimon's display name does not allow the use of unicode fonts, if you try to do it, the game will always meet error, you have to go through that difficult time many times.
Unfortunately, because my font is the language of my country, I can't share it for you, because you can't use it.

Hello guys, I'm not on here anymore. I created my own thread, you can get the link on my profile section.
Also, I'm progressing very good with it.
I'm about 70% of MESPAK00 file. That's pretty awesome I know, but in order to continue I'll need Lost Evolution save file.
So, if anyone helps me out either in private or on this thread with this everyone and me would be glad!

This isn't available for download yet. And it'll be done when it's done. Romsstar's team is gonna translate it all if I'm not mistaken.

Which do you prefer for place names?!

Stick with Japanese names for all names.

Use localized names (from Dawn/Dusk) for old names, and Japanese for new names.
