Nintendo Switch Online NES games for August 2019 revealed

Are you ready for more NES games? Because it's a brand new month, which means a brand new pair of retro games are about to be added to the catalog of playable NES titles for those that subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online. This month sees the addition of Kung-Fu Heroes and Vice: Project Doom, on August 21st. The former is a 1986 port of a 1984 arcade game, which is a beat-em-up that supports coop play with up to two players. Meanwhile, the latter is a side-scrolling action-platformer, with a few slight similarities to a more well-known NES title, Ninja Gaiden. Vice: Project Doom was developed by Aicom, a subsidiary of Sammy Industries, and Kung-Fu Heroes was created by a company now known as Culture Brain.

Kung-Fu Heroes: Monsters have taken Princess Min-Min and the 10 treasures of the land, and the people have fallen into sorrow. Only Kung-Fu Masters Jacky and Lee can save the princess and retrieve the treasures! Their journey will take them to eight different castles filled with hosts of traps and obstacles. Use punches and the Miracle Kick to defeat the enemies. You will need quick wits and lightning reflexes to make it to the last castle!

Vice: Project Doom: There exists a group of undercover detectives who dare stand up to the evil in the world... They are known as Vice. Officer Quinn Hart, a member of Vice, is on the case and after the truth. High-speed car chases, action-packed battles employing three types of weapons and a mode with three 3D rail-shooting stages all bring this cyberpunk world to life.

Here we are everyone, the bottom of the barrel after not even a full year of NES Online. Incredible, 700+ NES Games, and this is what we get as a "plus" for joining NSO.

Just how obscure are these releases gonna get before they finally start giving us SNES games?
I only know about Vice Project Doom from watching The Kacho play it on GCCX. It's kind of a neat looking game, but still can't imagine the circumstances that would lead to actually playing it.

At this point it'd probably be better if they didn't release anything. Every time I see one of these shitty NES releases, I get pushed closer and closer to cancelling my online subscription. It feels like I'm wasting money for these games that I don't want to play, like a crappy humble bundle. I don't even play any online games on my switch except for smash once every 2 months or something like that.

Now if we were to get some shitty SNES games instead of shitty NES ones, then I'd be less annoyed...

I'm all in with the people saying that Ninty will release snes game after the 1st anniversary of the online service to prevent a mass unsubscription.

We've had all the old consoles all the time for the last 3 console/handheld releases.
Now give us N64,Gamecube and Wii games. NeoGeo could be cool too.
Snes can follow afterwards.
I actually didn't want to hack my Switch, but if they cant get their shit together after one year I will cancel Nintendo Online and get Emulators on this thing.

They have the source code, so there's no need to remake the whole game, only update/port the code, upgrade textures(?) and compile it to be compatible with the Shield.

That's mostly what I meant, I don't know what they did with the HD Zeldas if they remade them or ported them over but I was thinking of something like that. I dont think they would devote that much time to port and update each game and not have it on their own platform when they can use an emulator and spend less time making it work for each individual game.

Quite honestly, Homebrew nes games can be neater. Like Wolfling. It's amazing.

Can they stop drip feeding them to us? I swear, they're only doing it to make it LOOK like they're releasing new content. Just give us them all at once. Even though virtual console did this, it was still 100 times better
