Turok 2: Seeds of Evil will release on the Switch next week

After releasing a remaster of 1997's Turok 1 earlier this year for the Nintendo Switch, Nightdive Studios is bringing the sequel to the eShop later next week. On August 9th, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil will be available digitally for £15.79, bringing back the nostalgia from the original game, which released over 20 years ago for the Nintendo 64. This will be the same version of the game that released on Steam and Xbox One, back in early 2018.

Please give me Turok Rage Wars
Please give me Turok Rage Wars
Please give me Turok Rage Wars

PLEASE give me Turok Rage Wars with modern controller support - the N64 Pad is pure pain...
The game was a BLAST to play on the N64, it had so many good maps, good weapons, interesting characters that played differently...

Playing it with an emulator without the proper N64 controller feels so strange (lack of 2nd analog stick), and even on the original hardware the game just does not feel as good anymore since we are used to twin stick controlls.

So whoever is responsible:
Please give me Turok Rage Wars

I think you need to fire up your N64 and do a comparison.
Think you need to fire up an emulator and the same n64 cart rom dump.

As stated before which so many idiots in here seem to fail to read.

Running a game on better hardware gives better results, higher resolution and frame rates.

Does not make it a remaster.

Please do this yourself.

Fire turok n64 rom dump up on your switch via retroarch.

Then boot the so called "remaster"

So no change at all.

Point made yet again, porting a title over to better hardware that gives better resultion is not a remaster.

No remastering of the game has been done.

Again like when i pointed out perfect dark that microsoft did.

That was a remaster

They took the exact same game and remastered all of its textures.

Okay, with Turok 2 coming and Doom 64 rumored, is it safe to say that there's an in-house N64 emulator/wrapper floating around that we could possibly inject N64 roms into in the near future??
nope, turok games are ported from pc version not n64 version they are ports and not emulated, the doom games now run on unity so again not emulation just ported to unity engine.

turok games are not ports of n64 even so your just saying BS lol, they are ported from the pc version, so yeah that alone makes it not an n64 emulated version since pc version even back then was already diferent from n64 version.

Yeah, too bad the Doom 1 and 2 ports are absolute hot garbage, slowed down music, rushed by a company called Nerve, yeah, can't even port a game right x3

Their XBLA port of Doom 2 was great-ish.

I wish they would just remake it.. it will be perfect for Switch. But it is remastered from N64's graphic. I will just pass.

If they did it right, it could be fun. I just feel that a remake would kill that Turok atmosphere..
