Hacking Old R4 Dead ,need a new R4i for my 3DS

my old r4 dead last week, now want to buy a new r4i gold pro
Just checked at ebay, amazon and newegg, but the price difference is a lot
amazon: about US$23.00
ebay: about US$14.00
newegg: about US$6.00 （Promotion currently）
Really want to buy from Newegg , anyone used it before ? It seems also ship from USA.

By the way , Another R4i , R4i gold 3DS Plus , see it many times in the discuss , it can play 3DS games , right?

None plays 3DS games. The only reliable flashcart for 3DS games is the Sky3DS+, asides from that, the R4i Gold 3DS Plus is the best out of all the current R4 flashcarts out there.

Only (expensive) flashcarts like Sky3DS+ can play 3DS ROMs by emulating the retail cartridge of the currently loaded game. But they are not worth the money.

The R4i 3DS Gold Plus will not play 3DS games, but has an internal switch for normal DS-games mode and ntrboot. The latter mode is used for easy custom firmware installation on any 2|3DS console. https://3ds.hacks.guide/ntrboot

With custom firmware 3DS games (.CIA files) can be installed on the console SD – no need for a flashcart.

Do you have a link to this "user manual"? Because it's either completely wrong, or it does not mean what you think it means. In ntrboot mode, the flashcart isn't even recognized by the 3DS during normal operation.

NTRboothax is an exploit used to install custom firmware for the Nintendo 2DS/3DS. It doesn’t have any functions to run 3DS titles. After installing CFW you are able to install and run games right off the system directly. What @KleinesSinchen said was not incorrect. The whole thing of it saying “3DS” on the label of the flashcart is merely to say the flashcart works on the consoles (the 3DS is still after all the latest system). I personally own an R4i Gold 3DS Plus and can confirm it myself, these flashcarts are for DS mode gaming, DS homebrew, etc.

The only current flashcart for 3DS games is the Sky3DS+ (Stargate 3DS is still around but the team behind it hasn’t updated the device to fix some of the issues it has, I don’t recommend purchasing one).
