There's multiple ways of saving settings.

LeMageFro and me listed how to change universal Retroarch settings, either way.
If you want to change settings per game quick menu > options > Save Game-options file
If you want to change settigs per core quick menu > Overrides > Save Core Overrides

But you can't just continue playing or they will crash on some cores, so you need to close content after making those changes.

Hey. I've been trying to get Banjo-Kazooie working with the rom forwader for a while but every time I open it it crashes. I'm using 8.1 if that helps (ie. If it doesn't work on that OFWW)

Thanks for this app...

anyway, i have a problem, i dontknow if this is app related problem or switch related problem...

i created a NSP forwarder with custom game icon...
then i nstalled it... the icon doesnt look good... so i uninstalled it...

what i did was create another icon and
recreate the NSP using the same settings as before,
but i only changed the icon... then i installed it...

the problem is (and im also confused)...
the icon appearing on switch was still the first one
and not the one that i recreated...

tried installing, uninstalling... tried sd install and usb install...
same result...

It does work on that firmware and I have a forwarder for that game so I know it works. Make sure you're choosing Retroarch Rom Forwarder on the bottom and putting in the exact location of the core (i.e. retroarch/cores/mupen64plus_next_libretro_libnx.nro you need to make sure you're using next) and the rom path must be exactly the correct rom path as well with whatever rom name your rom has included in the path.

When you made the second one did you change the title id?

It should work with no issues on that fw, if youre still having issues you can dm your log file in the resources folder and i can help out

yeah, i used same title id...
but anyway, i just foud a solution, just run the game and restart the switch... and it changed to the new icon i created...
ive noticed this before with other nsps, the switch seems to do a crappy job of cleaning out files after a removal as the icons get cached for the qlaunch, changing the title id is the easiest way as its registered as a new app or doing the above like you said also works

I created an nxmtp.nsp and it loads fine but when I hit X to terminate it won't exit and just reconnects to PC. Any idea what I did wrong?

Thats normal, with nsps you cannot close within the nsp or else itll crash the console. Just use the home button and press (x) or launch something else

It takes about one minute to make a new one, especially if you already have the icon. No need to waste your time just delete the ones you don't want and make a new one.

sure, but i need to edit multiple nsp and it requires me too much time, i had read that there was an homebrew suitable for him

(I redid the new reicast game icons that need to be replaced with the old ones... all icond are over 30+)
