How about that SwitchCharge? They got all of their shipping problems to backers resolved yet? Is the damn thing on sale?

I know that Switch Mariko refresh is around the corner, but imagine it's battery life when paired with that thing!

I bought this for only $5. Aliexpress should be selling the same. It has a cartidge slot too and my switch looks very sturdy with it. Joycon is removable while this is installed and it really feel comfortable to hold.

There's still some backers asking for it in the comments section of their indiegogo page, so probably not.
The last update post seems to be from April 4th, which makes mention of a lot of things having gone wrong and was also technically on sale for some time in the US (unofficially) due to their distributor selling some of the units to stores like BestBuy and Walmart without their permission.

Other than that, it still seems to be sold out everywhere and it'd be pretty unlikely that you'd run into an unsold unit if you went there.

The cheap ebay silicon covers already do kinda like that...

The ones I use are kinda like this:

I think mine are exactly like the second picture and they also are much better ergonomically than the original joy-cons alone and since they are silicon they are soft to the hand...

How is this more newsworthy than any of the other 30 million Switch Kickstarter campaign that are posted every day?

The product isn't even unique or innovative. There are plenty of Joycon grips already available.

Yeah, I thought that was weird that I saw that it was for sale at Best Buy, but now it isn't due to being sold out. Still, this ain't exactly a good precedent for KS/Indiegogo projects, as if Mighty No. 9, Yooka-Laylee, and some problems with how they operated the ROTN KS weren't bad enough, and that's not even going into the Tiger Drop that the Shenmue III KS project received on several occasions!
