Nintendo sends DMCA claim to Google for SX OS, removes WiiDatabase.de download page from search results.

Nintendo claims that this can bypass the protective measures of the switch - more precisely, it is about piracy. While this is still understandable with SX OS and the SX Pro, the claim is also directed against NS-Atmosphere and other payload injectors. This is incomprehensible, since it is not even possible at home to play illegally downloaded games with other payload injectors, so Nintendo has no right to withhold this information. The modding of the own console was and is always completely legal.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is actually a US law to "fight" copyright infringement. However, it disadvantages those affected, as it is difficult to disagree and the service provider has to react immediately, regardless of whether the claim is true or not. The download page of SX OS on the WiiDatabase is now no longer found on Google (the SX OS beta already, let's see how long that takes), not even on Google Germany, where the law does not apply.

WiiDatabase was the place I visited frequently to my WADs.
Such a shame it got taken down.
Poor TX, they bring misfortune whenever they go.
Fortunately it is ONLY the Download link to the Site of SX OS.They have to REMOVE it that Google NO LONGER can find the reference to it.
The site stays of course.:yay:

People complaining about piracy takedowns are without a doubt some of the most entitled children I've ever seen on the internet. It's so sad it's hilarious.

Wow, who pissed in your cereal? I want hackers/cheaters banned as much as the next guy, but using insults, very mature. There are better ways to express that without childish name-calling, if you can't even do that, you can bug off.

as long as nintendo ban the assholes that hack splatoon then ill be happy a good ip ban, a id number ban and console ban will stop them ruining the game for legitimate players.
Nah, this isn't a kind gesture to make their below average online experience more enjoyable for their users, like every company driven decision, it's about money; to quash piracy on the system. Why do you think they're trying to flood the market with unhackable units?

Nintendo does this with all of their systems once they get hacked, they shortly afterward release a revision with a few more things features to try to eliminate the exploitable model from shelves so it's harder to acquire.

DS Lite >> DSi (for a while)
3DS >> 3DS XL (came with unhackable firmware for a while until a new exploit showed up later)
Switch >> Switch Lite & Switch 2.0 (better battery & CPU)

True but hackers should wait until the console is at the end of its life not when it's still relevant, Plus hacking the games to get inf hp ammo and skills defeats the purpose of earning them yourselves and not to mention it makes online shooters too one sided and above all unfair for the players that play legally. or they could just put them in a lobby with only hackers and give the legal players a chance to play how the game was intended to be played.

Im Japanese and I am used to my own kind take it however you wish but im pretty vocal about legal issues and unfair play on games. plus if you cant win without cheating you shouldn't be playing the game at all! having to rely on exploits and glitches to win makes you no more than a common rookie/ sore loser. simple response get good legally or dont play the game at all!
