Topic.

Before a few days i was always using my Xbox One Controller (this one: https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireles...=gateway&sprefix=xbox+one,aps,695&sr=8-2&th=1 )

...with my Win 7 PC via an USB cable. Now i purchased a Blutooth-Dongle, installed it, and paired my Controller without any problems. It is working flawless in they games i tested, but after a short period of time, the Controller stops working completely. His Xbox-Button still glows and the it shows also up under the connected Blutooth devices.

After a few investigation i found out, that connecting an XboxOne Controller via Blutooth to an Win 7 or 8 machine is not officially supported by Microsoft, only Win 10 can do this. And the requiered drivers are not available seperatly, the are included in the Win 10 Anniversary Update.

But why is the Controller perfectly working for about 10 minutes, and then stops working

Has anyone a solution for this problem? A seperate driver or workaround?

So if you're still connected under the Bluetooth tab you'll need to press the Bluetooth combo for your controller then it should automatically sync up again (if it's charged). If that's not it I would look into your power management options and make sure the the usb ports don't go to "sleep"

Thanks for replying. Blutooth combo? Do you mean the sync-button on the Controller? And well, doing this all 10 minutes is not really a good solution

If the USB port would go to "sleep", wouldn't this disconnect the Controller? Cause this is not the case.

Yeah the sync button :D (I've only had controllers that have combos so far).
A lot of controllers have trouble reconnecting when they're paired to a computer without having to disconnect and reconnect.
If the usb port was inactive then you wouldn't be able to reconnect to the bluetooth dongle because the dongle wasn't being powered.
I assumed that your controller disconnected maybe some sudden disconnect or the controller wasn't being used and turned off to conserve power
and was having trouble reconnecting, but it could be something else.
