Hardware the Switch Lite might have G-Sync

Because the Switch Lite doesn't dock to a TV, AFAIK there is no reason why it cannot have G-Sync, everything it needs is already built in. (There's no way they're using the original big proprietary, power hungry and expensive G-Sync module, they're almost certainly using "Mobile G-Sync", more on that here https://www.anandtech.com/show/9303/nvidia-launches-mobile-gsync ). Apparently Mobile G-Sync could also improve the battery life a bit, which is important to Nintendo. Mobile G-Sync wouldn't increase the cost at all, I just can't think of a reason why the Switch Lite wouldn't have Mobile G-Sync.

You don't know any of this for sure. G-Sync is software, and it may or may not be implemented. Nintendo doesn't use what everyone else does. If you don't believe me, look at the details of the firmware on switchbrew.

That's *if* enabling G-Sync is a simple checkbox.

I guarantee you it isn't.

Mobile g-sync still isn't free and Nintendo is pinching pennies to make profit on this $200 unit. As there is no displayport there isn't any internal displayport tech there either like in most laptops. So no I wouldn't expect it at all.

This kind of feature you need to establish at the start of a generation anyway so that developers properly support it.

I can't imagine Nvidia asking for more money for mobile G-Sync, especially after the Switch being broken wide open because of their vulnerable X1's.

But from what I've read, the Switch outputs DisplayPort (and the dock converts DisplayPort to HDMI)
