The gamepad controls on this game are sheer perfection. So much an integral part of the experience that it makes it the best immersive sim ever due to how well it was used because it never feels shoehorned in but very organic. Well worth the 5 bucks its going for now.
Anyone else got some picks?
I would have gotten it also for 5$ (but I didn't find the PAL version for that price).
I can't comment on the controls except that adding gyro would have been a must, in my opinion (at least the option).

Most and all with Gamepad Features. But I really like ZombiU crazy that I once passed the Wii U up im glad now I see how good it really is it is AIO Nintendo.
Yes, Zombie U was a good experience but the the lack of Wiimote controls was especially disappointing: I mean, they already exist (albeit without much adjustments) in the asymmetrical VS mode, so why not give the option to the player in singleplayer? The resource management could have been done with Wiimote controls as well (either on screen or with the Gamepad like the map in Pikmin 3)

The Wii U is a great console but this lack of polish (i.e. not Wiimote nor Gamepad gyro aiming) is just shocking, seeing how the Wiimote made the predecessor unique and more advanced, in one sense (controls).

The only exceptions (which happen to be my favorites) are the two CoD games on Wii U.
I think Cabela on Wii U also has Wiimote controls but I've heard they weren't well made (lack of customization).

I really liked Zelda BotW and Mario Kart 8 so those are obvious picks, but for the 3rd game it's hard to pick between Smash 4, Nintendoland, NES Remix and some others.
I didn't play Smash 4 as much as I thought I would, while Nintendoland turned out to be a blast although there is not much to do in most of the minigames. I would say I played Smash 4 more due to there being more to do, tons of characters and stages etc. but had Nintendoland gotten a sequel with twice as many minigames, that may have turned out to be my favorite Wii U game period.
I love how it felt like they had taken Mario Party minigames and expanded on them, giving me a taste of what Mario Party could have been if there was much more focus on the minigames.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing a Mario Party game like that. Maybe less minigames in total, but much more in-depth minigames.

But I guess I'll pick Smash 4 as the third game.

Yeah think I'll be boring and plump for either Super Mario 3D World or Mario Maker. Mario Maker 2 is great but a bit lacking the character the first had, with its clickable title screen letters harking back to Mario Paint and so on. 3D World was a hotch potch of ideas thrown together, that just about worked.
BoTW, MK8 etc were great, but better on Switch.
Decent version of NFS Most Wanted, played that to death on 360 already though. Preferred the 360 version of All-Stars Transformed despite the extra content in the Wii U version.
Best version of Wind Waker though of course. And TP (though I still don't rate that... the Wii U version went a good way to warming me up to it though)
Prefer Captain Toad on Wii U over the Switch version, but if anything I like the 3DS version the most! Isn't GOTY material by any means anyway.
Bayonetta 2 was great, but preferred the first.

"not counting games that was ported"

You literally said two games that was a port, signify by the obligatory "HD" next to them. :P
Could also say nes remix is "a bunch of nes games, but turned into wario ware 10 second micro game objectives" :creep:
Or how bout Super mario 3D world? Is just super mario 3D land in HD. (Okay is more than that, but you get the idea.) :ninja:

One game I wanted to like was Lost Reavers. A free to play online mutiplayer game which I never actually tried after beta cause I couldn't get used to the controls. Also a game strictly focused on online mutiplayer isn't my idea of a game to invest in. Fear of putting time into something that only last as long as people are willing to play it or devs support it.

Xenoblade chronicles X is another game I wanted to like, but some nit picks prevented me to get fully into it. Like the font problem, that's one of it. Another is probably how the online system works for mutiplayer, and that option of having eight different kinds of jobs or roles or something, I don't remember details except I was asked to choose a faction. I Also never got one of those robot things which was something I expected to do a lot sooner. I can't forget to bring up those download install data packs, I still remember waiting hours for that. It just fell apart for me and dwindled my excitement levels. I told you is probably nitpiks, but I'm not the only one who feel that way right?

One game I did like was Ninja Gaiden III Razor edge. Honestly it was a hard and frustrating game, but I did beat it and yes I know is probably not the best of the series. But it introduced some spectacle moments like diving off buildings and stealth take downs. First time ever it felt like playing a ninja. :P

Tekken Tag tournament 2 wii u edition could be a fun time. Honestly I am not good at those games, and before that the only one I played in the series was tekken 3. So you probably can guess that I don't take the game seriously. You're right, the mini games! Tekken ball, Tekken force, tekken bowling, mini games is what makes this somewhat difficult to learn fighting game fun even if you don't like fighting games or are button masher. Cause you get to put on nintendo all star character costumes and use super mario power ups to fight with throwing all seriousness the game ever had. Fun fact, based on the story, it had none. (Oh and tekken volley ball is still there) :creep:

Also who can forget super mario maker? Infinite fun? YES! Ideal replay game, except for the obnoxious levels that exist. But i guess if you rather not play poorly designed levels, don't play this game, or more specifically, don't play super expert. :ninja:

Some more stuff that interest me but failed to leave good impressions exist, but I said enough already in this one post. :P

Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD are game remakes. And Super Mario 3D World is a seperate game from Super Mario 3D Land. An example of a port would be a VC game such as Ocarina Of Time or Majoras Mask.

I have been trying some wii u games, but only super mario 3d world is my favorite console exclusive. I am betting myself that I will like bayonetta 2. not sure about xenoblade chronicles and BOW because I avoid open world games with endless fetch quest. I like mass effect 3, batman arkham city, and deus ex HR, but they are not wii u exclusives so they don't really count.

if you think about it, wii u really lacked a console exclusives other than nintendo exclusives. I can see why it failed :(

I don't really care about anything else on the Wii U.

BoTW and Splatoon were the games I most played, BoTW is close to surpass Splatoon in total play time for me though, man... I wished the Wii U sold better, it had lots and lots of potential.
