I've been looking to buy a Japanese DSi (seeing as they tend to sell for much cheaper), but I'd like to know if TwilightMenu++ can allow me to install the american version of DSi Ware games onto my japanese dsi. I've heard that DSi Ware is region-locked, but I'm wondering if TwilightMenu++ can in some way negate this. I should probably clarify that I intend to use the new Memory Pit exploit for this. Please, can anyone help me?
You want to install it to your home menu, or run via TWLM++?

How much cheaper? My local game store carries DSi systems for $45 (I've bought too many :X)

Whichever works. Personally, I'd like to be able to put the games onto the home menu, but if that doesn't work, I wouldn't mind running them via TwilightMenu++, so long as they run properly and save my progress.

You can install DSiWare to your SDNAND (HiyaCFW) by using @JeffRuLz 's Title Manager. I've installed European and Japanese DSiWare onto my U system with no problems.

Hello. I just installed this on my old 2DS with CFW, and then I tried to import some save files from my real Pokemon DS game carts that I made with Checkpoint. Three of the games I tried worked, the imported saves loaded, but Pokemon Soul Silver started a fresh new game as if there was no save file present. I have noticed that when *not* trying to import a save TwilightMenu++ creates a 512KB save file for Soul Silver, but my imported save from the cart is 1024KB. Is this the problem, and is there a way to get my imported save to load on the 3DS? Do I need to convert the save to another format? Thanks.

Okay I fix the flshcard, now it says nds-bootstrap not found and meanwhile on my dsi xl im trying to open memory pit to boot twilight menu, it just gives me a light green screen how to fix those 2 problems?
Also why am I not using unlaunch to boot twilightmenu? oh because everytime I put my sdcard with unlaunch, it only gives me no application list, is there any way to fix that so I can boot twilight menu++ on unlanch?

Is there any way on the 3DS theme to launch GBARunner2 without the touch screen? Is the Select button bound to anything? What if Select moved the selection cursor to the top row and then you could move between the top options with the dpad?

Did you copy the save file into the correct location?

Reformat your SD card using Windows.

Yeah, I placed it where the other save files were, the other ones all worked. And a detail I didn't mention is that when the game failed to load the save file I proceeded to start a new game and create a new save file in-game. This save file never appeared on the SD card when I checked for it later. The 128KB imported save file was still there though. When I deleted my imported save and then tried to start a new game, it successfully created a new 512KB save file.

Controls

DSi/3DS Menu theme
  • Left/Right: Select a game/app.
  • A/START: Launch game/app
  • L/R: Switch pages.
  • Y: Per-game settings
  • Y+X: Cheat menu
  • (DSi theme) SELECT: SELECT menu (Where system menu, TWLMenu++ Settings, and GBARunner2/GBA Mode can be accessed)
R4 theme
  • Up/Down: Select a game/app.
  • A: Launch game/app
  • Y: Per-game settings
  • Y+X: Cheat menu
With CFW: DS ROMs (on SD)/carts
  • L+R+DOWN+B for 2 seconds: Return to TWiLight Menu++.

Is there a way to quit out of a GBA game with a button combo as well? Or is it only possible to return to the 3ds home menu, once a gba game has been launched?

Ah okay. Is there some fundamental issue that will stop the R4 from ever getting full TWLMenu++ support? That would be a shame if there was. I'll just stick to woodr4 for now.

Same here. Have you tried to use another YSMenu from old.r4wood website (I don't know if fake-killer is still an issue)? Need to try it when I get home.
I never had issues running only R4 wood for NDS games and now I'm loving the GBARunner2 running on Wood, so I stick with Twilight to test other emulators.
