You can't downgrade directly to 6.2. You will need to downgrade to some 5.x firmware and afterwards upgrade to 6.2 with ChoiDujourNX.

I’m not sure why people make a big deal out of downgrading as long as you know no fuses where burnt upgrading to your 7.0 firmware, just grab the 6.2 firmware files put it on your sd card in a folder boot up ChoiDujournx and select your 6.2 folder and choose exfat firmware install and reboot, job done it’s easy as that! No need for that downgrade to 5x rubbish, I’ve done it myself from 6.2 to 7.0.1 and back to 6.2 no issues whatsoever when I did it. Remember as long as you 100% know for sure no fuses are burnt when upgrading your switch firmware there’s no reason why you cannot downgrade back again to the same firmware.

i dont even know what the fuses are but i can check them and it seem im over the amount and it seemed choi didnt work with 6.2 to 8.1.0

i also need to see if choi will work on 8.1.0 to see if i can
And dont have any firmware to downgrade to atm other than the original which i might go ahead and drop in and see if i cant use the hek to just downgrade by restoring the old one

As long as you're booting with hekate or fusee, you don't need to worry about the fuses.

The fuses are what you burn upgrading officially with your switch, you did realise if you have been upgrading officially via your switch without ChoiDujournx you burn fuses then you can’t downgrade? Check hekate that will tell you your official fuses you can downgrade too.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
