@Robz8 , I'm not sure if you have a list of games with bugs, but bleach dark souls won't allow you to save. it will create a new save when you boot up the game, but when you exit, then go back to play the game, it will say that the save is corrupted.

dragon quest 5 seems to work pretty good, but there's a slight bug where it will get to the title screen, the screen will flicker a bit, then it will go back through the logos again. it will be fine afterwards.

I heard that's an AP issue, though I never tried the AP-patched ROM.

hmm...I think dragon quest 5 had an ap thing to where you couldn't get off the ship at the beginning of the game. I'm pretty sure I ap patched the rom those many years ago, so I'm not sure. the game works along with my save, it's just that small thing. maybe the patch messes something up? I know that it doesn't have this problem with the supercard dstwo.

Hi, I have a R4i Gold Plus with the latest Wood Firmware and I'm trying to set Twilight on the flashcart to access the Flashcart SD and play with Twilight enhancements but I also want to be able to play Golden Sun Dark Dawn with my Flashcart firmware (since it's not compatible with Twilight).

Anyways, I tried twice following the instructions on the OP but somehow I just wind up resetting my Flashcart's settings (default skin, config, et al.)

Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to do? Is there a more thorough guide somewhere I'm missing?

Thanks for your time.

If you already installed TWLMenu++, just start "boot.nds", and launch Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

I don't own that flash cart (have a supercard dstwo), but that game does work via flash cart. I did test it with save.

Installed where? I have it installed on my main SD card (not the one on the flashcart) but I don't see this "boot.nds" file when I browse within Twilight although it is in my root folder.

Or do you mean if I have Twilight installed on my Flashcart? Cause I've been trying but I never get Twilight to launch from it. :(

I'm sorry, I'm a major noob, just had this 3ds for a month.

Edit: For clarity.

I've had trouble with wait times using twilight menu, and waiting for some games to boot.
When i booted into hiyacfw and had that continue to twlmenu, it took about 30 seconds, i set unlaunch to boot straight to boot.nds and now it takes significantly less time, but still very long (16 seconds).
The second issue is specifically with pokemon black/white version 2. (I tried different versions and different languages, all the same)
The game takes a whole minute to boot, and then loading or saving takes 50 seconds.
My sd sard is class 10, though not the newest card in the world. I tested this with a class 4 card i had lying around and found it to be even slower.
Is this all because of my sd card speed? Other games boot and work just fine, only pokemon black/white 2 are unbearably slow.
Thanks

Edit: i tried updating to the latest version of twilight and there was no change

What is wrong with kids these days? 16 seconds is absolutely nothing god forbid you lived in the old 8 bit computer days especially the ZX Spectrum when you has to wait 5 mins for a game to load you then finished the first level in under 2 minutes then had to wait another 5 mins for the next level to load ect ect. That's if it even loaded correctly in the first place.

The big problem is modern society wants everything for free and they want it with minimum effort and they want it immediately.

haha well i admit 16 seconds isn't very long, it's just that its way more than it should be.
I remember the time you would get a snack while waiting for a level to load btw ;)

anyway for those interested, formatting my sd card with 32kb allocation size solved both issues

Hello.:)

https://gbatemp.net/threads/new-to-hiyacfw-twilight-very-long-boot-time.542538/#post-8700648

That should help to reduce the boot up time.

And THE FIRST time a game starts it needs your time. You maybe recognize at the next boot up its faster.Different from game to game.
The faster method is an FLASHCARD.
Your choice: Flashcard - costs MONEY TWiLight is FREE.

Thank you.:)

Tony Hawk's American Sk8land crashes at the first keyboard prompt for me. Any fix known?
I would love to see this working as well but Tony Hawk's Proving Ground works perfectly if you need an alternative.

Can you please add Henry Hatsworth to the SpeedBumpExclude list? His ID is CQ7E. Thanks so much!

Hello.:)

For that @Robz8 hat implementet an simple but genius feature:

- put your games in the Folder (more than 39)
- boot your DSi/3DS XL
- then you can simply use "L" and "R" Shoulder Buttons to change to the next 39 games.

I went back, and tried the recommendation.

Took out all my NDS games from their separate folders and put them into one, on the same level as Root Directory.
I then re-downloaded the PNG GameTDB-ds_box-US-2019-07-03.ZIP file, unzipped and pasted all the PNG files into ROOT\_nds\TWiLightMenu\boxart folder.

Started up TWiLightMenu, no problems there, but still the same Red Screen error on the Top Screen.
Admittedly, I did not rename any of the 1000+ PNG files and the names of my NDS files are in the format that come as usual - GameNumber_Title_APKFixIfAny.NDS
The application can still be closed and I can still get back to my main 3DS menu just fine, so it seems to me that the whole problem is with the PNG boxart.

If there's something that I did wrong, I would appreciate the clarification.
Thank you again.
