Hey guys, so I just updated with ChoiDoujour to 7.0.1. However after it rebooted it refuses to load. I can load SX OS but refuses to boot into CFW or OFW.

I think I know the issue. When it asked whether to update to 7.0.1 or 7.0.1 (exFAT) I chose the former, 7.0.1 now I realise my SD Card is formatted in exFAT. Does this mean I can just format my SD card to FAT32 and it will work?

What is the process from here? I havent attempted to do anything yet...
I have never activated AutoRCM and I think i have a NAND backup... the boot file? Somewhere...

Hope someone can help! Thankyou.

Yip you are right, just backup the contents of your SD card and format the card to FAT32

You can run choiNX again once it's booted and choose exFat but in all honesty I would just stick with fat32, the general consensus is that it's less likely to corrupt than exfat

Yes, that's why it doesn't work. Backup everything from your micro sd to your computer, format the micro sd to FAT32, put Kosmos, ChoiDujourNX and 7.0.1 firmware files on your micro sd, install 7.0.1 with exFAT and copy everything back to your micro sd card.

Okay so just to clarify:
Format my SD card to FAT32?
Then put the files back on.
Will it then be upgraded and load CFW and OFW? or do I then need to run ChoiDujourNX and run the firmware update again?

Thanks for the fast responses guys!

You need to update again if you need exFAT. Keep in mind that you should not use exFAT because exFAT is known for corruption issues.

Okay... backed up my files and formatted to FAT32. Put back on the SXOS files and it
Loads into SXOS but still refuses to boot CFW or OFW...

Should I install AutoRCM? What next.... ?

SXOS 2.5.3 when I installed firmware 7.0.1 could this also be an issue??

New issue... Fat32 wont let me put files on the MicroSD above 4gb?? Is there a work around? How to play games?
Do i now need to re-do the update to ExFAT and reformat my SD card??

You have several options:
  1. If you're talking about NSP files, you can split them or install them over USB.
  2. If you're talking about XCI files, you can split them.
  3. You can format the SD card as exFAT, but you need to make sure the system has the exFAT update.

if you use SX-OS, launch choirdujour, re-update to your choosen firmware with exfat option without autorcm(just my choice)

and take time to load up your sd card again with XCI files.

fat32 corruption doesnt happen when you use your xci or SX-OS, it happens more with homebrew stuff.

I have two switches, 5 maybe 7 including all my friends I have set sx-os for.

NONE of them have gotten corrupted switches using exfat and you be wasting time and making shi7 harder for yourself if you use the archaic fat32 file system with game rips that are over 12 gigs.

If you use sx-os stick with exfat

Okay perfect I have a clear line of site and will format back to ExFAT, install 7.0.1 again (ExFAT) then load all my .xci's back on.
I think I got it! Just gunna be a waiting game now...

You should install the exFAT support to your Switch before formatting your SD card as exFAT, obviously.

If you installed an update without exFAT support using ChoiDujourNX, then you need to reinstall exFAT support.

Okay I got you. I did re-install to exFat support, now i have formatted sd card to exfat about to load CFW and check...
