PDP's latest Nintendo Switch controller is going to be Sonic themed

Gotta control fast, with hardware manufacturer PDP's latest gamepad design. After already having made a handful of controller designs for Nintendo characters, such as Mario, Luigi, Link, and Pikachu, PDP will be taking a shot at making a controller featuring a Sonic the Hedgehog color scheme. It's one of the PDP Fight Pad Pro controllers, so it'll have a near-identical layout to the Nintendo GameCube controller, just with a detachable C-stick, and extra buttons in the middle for Home/+/-/Screenshot. As seen in the picture above, the front will be Sonic-blue, and the back is red, like his shoes, while the center buttons are gold, to represent rings. There's no set release date, but the controller has already gone up for sale on EB Games Australia.

Sonic the Hedgehog is the fastest hero in the world, famous for his supersonic speed, iconic blue spikes and red shoes. With a super cool attitude and easy-going demeanour, Sonic has a love for freedom and adventure. Spinning head-on into trouble to defeat the evil forces of Dr. Eggman, for Sonic saving the world is the name of the game.

HORI is bringing it back to the old school with the Nintendo Switch Battle Pad. GameCube-style contours with traditional C-Stick will feel at home in the hands of any Smash Bros vet, but the Battle Pad’s extra features set it apart from the pack.

Now you can play as this speedy Hedgehog with this awesome Nintendo Switch PDP Wired Fight Pad Pro Controller.

Grab yours today!

What’s the default damage with the pro controller?

The D pads come too lose by default and the grinding of the sticks sucks your performance. Yes it can be fixed but it shouldn't come damaged to start with.

Nintendo Pro Controller sucks as much as knock off cheap playstation controllers.

Hence why most people who cares are either opening the thing to fix it or using a different controlller.

If you have a Gamecube controller, then the Pdobq adapter works for both Wii U and Switch.

I find it amazing Nintendo basically treats gamecube's controller as their "perfect" controller.
This is false, this controller isn't made from Nintendo but from PDP, Nintendo lazily just released a carbon copy of the old controller minus good triggers.

The Switch Pro controller comes damaged by default, you have to open it up to fix it. That's why I didn't get one, getting two more joycons instead.
While Pro Controller D-pad is broken for sure the GCC dpad isn't a good one either, considering most games use stick you won't play dpad fighting games with GCC anyway. Joycons are very poor controller indeed you should buy them only to replace older ones for portability, there is no excuse for your bad purchase, drifting stick develops after not many hours of use and it says all about the quality of joycons, they are serviceable for portability and extra controller but not good for playing many hours. Switch Pro Controller is the best controller out now, the shape, the quality, the battery, the features make it one of the best pad out there (not Switch only) but for sure it's expensive.

Hori... PDP.. Are they the same company?
No

Joycons are very poor controller

They work perfectly fine for Nintendo games.

I tend to play in portable mode with the things docked, so I needed a spare set just in case the ones I have break anyway.

I will get the Pdobq adapter that works for both Nintendo Switch and Wii U and use one of my Gamecube controllers if I ever want to play using a TV.

They are fine but far from good, Pro controller is the best controller, if you want to play budget because you can't afford or don't want to spend on one it doesn't mean it isn't the best controller out there, for sure better than wired GCC for general use (lack of buttons, high cost if you don't already have one)
