Hi chaps

I’m currently on SysNand OFM 6.0 and EmuNand 6.0 and wanted to update to the latest firmware 8.1 on my EmuNand for compatibility with NSP games

I can’t seem to find an answer on this but if I use ChoidujourNX to update my EmuNand which is on a separate hidden fat32 partition will I burn any fuses on my SysNand ?

I don’t use any autoRCM

Thanks :)

No you don't if you boot through cfw everytime like atmosphere or Hekate as Nintendo's bootloader checks for fuses and burns them not update

It won't burn any fuse. Fuse check is only done by official bootloader (by checking the firmware version of your sysNAND). And you cannot enable emuNAND by using official bootloader (only through hekate, fusee or SX Loader, which are custom bootloaders, they prevent fuse burning). Anyway, the only thing you have to remember is that fuse burning is done by checking the firmware version of your sysNAND, not your emuNAND.
Moreover, autoRCM will be inoperant when you activate it with ChoiDuJourNX on emuNAND.

Yeah, this is something I wondered. Whether ChoiDuJourNX can enable autoRCM on your sysnand when installing on emunand.

If not then it doesn't matter whether you tick the box or not, but if it can affect sysnand then people with patched units need to be really careful.

Amazing thanks guys so essentially I can update EmuNand to 8.1 without any fuses being burned... should I go all the way to 8.1 or is there a recommended firmware that I should stick to like 7.2 that gives me everything I could need stability and security wise ?

Thanks again that info was really helpful :)

Go for 8.1.0 if you care about latest games.
