So I'm saving up some money to get a new gpu and the "revised" switch thats coming out probobly this year. The gpu is amd rx 5700. But my question is this, I would need to get 1 of them at around launch because of thier own problems. I have my nonpatched switch hacked, and I almost got a patched switch since it was around the time where nintendo got to release the patched switches in the wild. I got mine from toy's r us. But since like with every gpu release, the prices increase a lot if you don't buy it around release. Navi comes out in july, but I want the third-reference cards from sapphire, so that probobly takes like a month or 2, so around august or september.

So question time:
1. Should I go for getting a new switch first before nintendo patches some hardware or software exploit? (Like what they did around 4.1.0 and in 8.1.0).
2. Should I go for getting a new gpu first before it goes out of my price range for months or years?

(Then again, I could just wait for the announcement for the new switches thats coming soon to find out when they release and decicde then.)

Opinions?

Do you play PC games or Switch games more?

Really just down to that honestly.

IMO, you should buy the GPU instead. The "New" Switch isn't going to be remotely worth it if you already own one, unless you really like to wank it to spending substantial amounts of money for what will most likely be a very modest hardware boost.

What @Tom Bombadildo says, really. The new switch is a rumor at this point, so you're comparing getting a potential thing you've already got with getting something actually useful (unless your current gpu is already close to that, but I doubt it).
