Hacking Someone wants me jailbreak nintendo but it is marked as a "patched". Will it work?

Hello,
I need your help.

I consider to buy Nintendo Switch. It is new never used for fantastic price. However before purchasing I checked it on some sites and it was detected it as a patched (Serial number: XAJ7 005159 XXXXX)
.
My question is: Is there any chance to play downloaded non-original games? Is it possible to root/jailbreak/flash it and install custom software to play that games?

One guy from facebook told me that would be problem to do that. He uses SX OS and ensures me that it will work, but I am not really convicted about that.

That guy on Facebook lied to you.
There's nothing you can do with patched units, unless play legit games!
Your best option is to buy an unpatched unit.

  1. If the patched Switch is on 4.1.0 or lower, then it will be hackable in the near-ish future. Do not update.
  2. If the patched Switch is on 5.0.0-7.0.1, then it will be hackable in the distant future. Do not update.
  3. If the patched Switch is on 8.0.0 or higher, then it might never be hackable, and if it is, it won't be for a very long time.
My recommendation is to buy an unpatched Switch system.

If you haven't bought a switch yet then don't buy this one, shoot for an unpatched unit (probably used) make sure the serial is green. If not, pass and find another.

While work is being done to get patched units exploited, as of now, there's no way and you'll probably be waiting a while, So if you want to run CFW just go with a green serial and do your research before diving in as It's best to understand what your doing instead of just following a guide blindly.

It will 100% not work. It is patched, and so will not work with Fusee Gelee.

Also, if you're looking to pirate games, don't go asking about that here. It is frowned upon for a reason.

That person is lying sx os only works on switches that are not patched.no custom firmwares work on a patched nintendo switch.
