Hello
My switch was working fine until I decided to update the firmware . I update with CHoi and went through fine but instead of choosing update with exfat, I chose regular one and now my emunand wont boot. The card was formatted exfat. I can boot sx os fine and choose CFW option and the Nintendo logo loads but then disappears and stays on black screen. I can format new card and get it to boot but all my saves wont show up after I copied them from other memory card (have two 400 gig cards, I havent formatted the one that had all my games). ANy ideas on how I can get this to work? Thank you

You can use a spare SD Card Formatted as Fat32 and update again with the EXFat Update.
Thanks for your help, let me see if I understand correctly. Do I format one card with fat32, then create emunand on it?
After that do I copy files from sd card that had everything installed?
\I tried this yesterday and am not able to see any of the games.

No you take for example your Second 400Gb SD Card and format it to Fat32.Then copy your boot.dat & license.dat & ChoiduJourNX & your Firmware Files to your SD Card and update again(with exFat). After this Process you can use your other exFat Formated SD Card with your Games.

Ok, it took a few hours to complete this but I tried as you described and still wont boot. Doesnt the emunand stay on each sd card so in trying to boot this one, isnt it booting the messed up one? Wont I have to make the emunand on the system storage instead of on the card for this to work?

Sorry i missread that you was using Emunand before, in this case copy your Emunand from your exFat card to your PC, then from your PC to your Fat32 Card. Update your Emunand with ChoiduJour and exFat. Then Copy everything back to your Exfat Card.

If I installed emunand on original card in hidden partition, how do I find it?
I tried formatting second card with fat32 and updating to 8.1 which went well and boots but it still won’t see all the installed games

Ah, I thought I read emunand. I am assuming you are using emummc. If you are, go here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-properly-setup-emummc.541152

Get the sd files, and update your kip. See if it works. If it doesn't, it looks like you will have to redo your emummc.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also, if you have the kip in /hekate/sys/, delete that.

Hello
I am using emunand that was made with SX OS. The emummc doesnt look familiar, I have not used it in the past. I tried a few things but on a 400 gig card, it takes a long time to copy and no luck yet.

Sounds like you will have to redo it. I would take it as an opportunity to change your sd format to fat32 since you are messing with homebrew anyway.
