There's some Atari 7800 games I would love to try, but I know that I can really only get into gaming in a portable format, and I hate touchscreen controls. I'm also not really a fan of Retroarch and I think discrete emulators are almost always more user-friendly. I'm looking to see if there are any ways that it's possible to play 7800 games on a 3DS besides Retroarch.

The configuration (at least in the PC and android versions I've tried to use) is rather generalized and not very tailored to the specific core, making it quite clunky to use.
So your basing it on other systems and not used it in 3ds ignorance much?

I admit trying it on other systems has kinda scared me off of it. I kinda expect the user experience of an app to be similar across different platforms, notwithstanding differing input-methods, but I guess I may as well try it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if I remember correctly, I tried every Atari 7800 game,... And they all sucked
