Hey so uhh.. I did a Gamecube iso.. everything went well WupInstaller installed it no issues..

When I went to start it.. I got a message about needing some sort of VC Injection something or other on my SD card..

What's this ?

I didn't see any mention of it in Post 1.. is it an app I put on my SD in the apps folder ?

I can get a picture of it if need be but I suspect I'm not the first person wondering :-D
you have to put a configfile on your sd card and download nintendont file you can do that with wiivc injector click on gamecubetap top-right corner.watch this video it's verry useful .make sure you choose the same options for the config.file if you have or want to enable wide screen:

Can you rebind your controllers with injected gamecube games ? It's nice to play with the gamepad, but A button is right, Y button is left etc... So it's really odd to play like that.

AFAIK nope. I don't understand what you mean A is right Y is left on what game?

Since I can't provide the main.dol because it's copyright material I prepared a folder to simple patch.

Note it only applies to the USA version of the game (I tried DCKR v1.01)
What it patch: Y=run, B=jump, ZR=blow/stomp
  1. Open your ISO with WiiScrubber
  2. In DATA partition look for main.dol file, right click extract and save it on DKRC CC patch folder
  3. In the DKRC CC patch folder open apply_patch.bat
  4. With the main.dol patched go to WiiScrubber again, select main.dol right click replace and select the patched main.dol
  5. ???
  6. Profit
Now you can inject your shiny new DKRC with gamepad support :P

The patcher .exe is part of @Wiimm tools, and the .gct code is from @crediar so I don't take credit on that.

I'm trying to do this so I can have gamepad support for DKC Returns but when I open the cc patch I get "wstrt.exe - System Error The code execution cannot proceed because cygwin1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I now have cygwin1.dll and put it in the ccpatch folder (maybe it goes in some windows folder? no clue) and now it says "wstrt.exe Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000007b) Click OK to close the application"

Sorry for the unclear explanation. What I meant was about button placement between a wii U gamepad and a gamecube controller : Buttons functions stays the same according to their letter, X button is still X button for both controller for example, but X button on a gamecube controller is the "right" button, while on a wii u gamepad it's the "top" button.

I say it's odd, because to explain it concretly, I played mario sunshine for years on my gamecube, so when I play with the Wii U gamepad, it's really unnatural to have to press the right button (A) to jump, and dive with the (B) button at the bottom, it would be more logical to have (A) as the bottom button on my wi u gamepad, (X) for right, (B) for left etc...

I'm not sure about it, but, isn't this injector, a way to create a forwarder for nintendont basicly ? Is there no way to rebind keys for nintendont if it's the case ?

Thanks so much ! It's working exactly how I wanted to, I tried it for mario sunshine and double dash and it's instantly switching, so it's probably compatible for most injections, such a cool feature!

Do you know by any chance if you can do it with an usb controllers like a ds4 ? It's recognized, but it's obviously lacking the "+" and "-", and no other buttons seems to do that, it would be a bonus to play sunshine with analog triggers, but it's already great, thanks again !

So I’ve been trying to create an inject for Luigi’s Mansion,I followed all the steps perfectly until I select build and it says I’m missing a file in Appdata/Local/Temp/WiiVCInjector/SORCETEMP/TIKTEMP.I’ve looked it up before and tried removing the ‘ in Luigi’s Mansion and none of the folders have any symbols in them. The ISO file is on my SD card and I’m trying to make the complete file appear in SDHC/install on my SD card,is there anything I’m doing wrong?

Problem on the computer is a lack of space, that's why it's on the SD card. Will it not work if the ISO isn't on the computer or do I just need a different file?

i never did it that way ,i only know if u have that error it's usually o bad iso or lack off space.can't u use a usb stick or hdd and once it's done copy over to sd card.wii vc uses swap file so it needs more space than just the instal size and iso size.also make sure you have a clean iso no trimms or scrubbed.

I've got an odd issue.. been using this quite a bit.. had 1 conversion error out on me so I killed the app..

Now even after restarting the computer I can't get the injector app to open again..

I've deleted it & unzipped it again.. ran as administrator.. it won't start :-/

Hello Folks, a noob here!

I'm trying to use this WiiVC Injector tool for "New Super Mario Brothers Wii" so that I can install it on Wii U. I have a question at the Build Title tab were it asks to provide Wii U Common key and Rhythm Heaven key. I googled both and entered and pressed save key and the tool verified it. That's it? I can now just feed Wii game .iso and output folder and by pressing build it will build install file for Wii u? What are those two keys for? I dont have to change those for each new game?

Thank you!

I'm not going to pretend to know the reasoning for the keys (my guess is something to do with security or protocol on the Wii U) But once you do what you did and saved them you don't have to ever do it again on that computer unless you have a serious crash where you have to reinstall the OS or something along those lines. Enjoying injecting games.

Thanks for this! Was havig no luck using a third party GC controller adapter in USB Loader GX (vWii). This was a perfect solution to run Nintendont from the Wii U menu (almost perfect anyways - lack of analog triggers on the gamepad).

Is it possible to modify my made WUP Installer games if I didn't choose any controller options for example ?

I thought Classic Controller was automatically applied.. & similar settings "most people probably want" :-) haha

Or would that be a complicated process of attempting to re-decrypt & mess around.. better to just re-create ?

There's not even a complicated option that I know. You just have to re-create them.

I know this has been asked many times, but I still can't seem to find the answer.

I've having trouble with WiiVC Injector. I'm trying to use it for a Wii game, but I keep getting this error when I try to build:

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

"Could not find a part of the path C:\Users\Smith Family\AppData\Local\Temp\WiiVCInjector\SOURCETEMP\ISOEXTRACT."

I know others have had similar problems, but I can't seem to fix this. I've tried placing everything in the same folder or placing everything on a SD card, but that hasn't worked. The weird thing is, it will work for Gamecube games. I just built and installed one, it worked fine. It seems to only do this on Wii games. Although I've only got one Wii game to try (which is another issue, I've got an ISO of a Wii game, but it doesn't seem to recognize that).

Any suggestions?
