I posted in noob paradise but I'll post this here as well:

Before I go through with this, can my switch get banned for extracting keys using BISKEYDUMP and Lockpick_RCM, as well as HacDiscMount and stuff that isn't CFW or game backup related?

My end intention is to extract keys, pull a BOTW save off of the switch, extract it from the save file, inject the edited save back in to the save file, inject the edited save file back in to the switches emmc and play the edited save.

I've already proof of concept'ed it on my hacked switch so I know the method I'm using works, just a roundabout way of editing a save since CFW online gets you banned.

Been using SX OS since the beginning, Wi-Fi always on, even went to eShop once for a minute. But what banned me, was Pokemon. Today I tried to catch Mew from the Poke Ball Plus device and it tried to connect to the internet, which lead to a ban.

Would prefer a full report which you can find in the first post of this thread.

do you mean from a clean nand backup?
Well what do you mean by errors? What error code did you get? Did you try connecting while running 90DNS/Stealth Mode/Incognito?

If yes, then you are probably not banned yet as those are designed to prevent connections to Nintendo.

If no, then you may not be banned now but you are most likely flagged on their servers. Also your clean NAND backup would be useless in this scenario because now Nintendo knows you are running CFW. Your NAND backup is still useful for recovering from a brick but it will no longer help prevent a ban.

I was using 90 DNS. Unfortunately I can't remember what errors I got because I suddenly got rid of that window. So if you were me, would you try to restore the clean nand and try to access the eshop?

I was gonna fill out the questionnaire but it was too complicated. Since this forum helped me out a lot I'll just post what I know and hope it helps.

I installed layeredFS solely for modding. I installed Atmosphere and did the recovery mode boot with Tegra and that's all I did. No homebrew or piracy or anything. And I'm not banned.

edit: I also never went online and played on airplane mode exclusively.

You should still fill it out. All except one question are yes/no or where you pick from one choice. If you don't know the answer, chances are you probably do not use it.

Are the bans back?
The last reported ban I have was in May. This could be for multiple reasons. What it ultimately comes down to is either Nintendo has stopped banning people or no one is being banned anymore. These may sound similar but in actuality are two different scenarios. The first situation implies that you won't be banned for doing anything. The second implies that the actions people are currently taking will never lead to a ban. Now the only way to differentiate between the two is for some to do something that is considered "ban-worthy" which some people might consider installing a .NSP file or cheating in an online game. Problem is the fear of getting banned for these actions prevent anyone from testing that theory which results in us not being able to differentiate whether Nintendo is still banning people or if current actions are "safe".

See what I mean? No one takes the risk so we don't know if Nintendo is still banning people. Leads to a permanent cycle of no one testing if Nintendo still banning people and thus no one bothers trying.

I think more likely is that the stealth features implemented in the current CFW versions are doing their jobs correctly. Either that or Nintendo have had to revisit their policies to avoid false positives.

If you think back to the 360 days, it wasn't user behavior that mostly changed in the later years. It was Commodore4Eva's ability to circumvent Microsoft's detection mechanisms.

Immediately? That's crazy, I've browsed the eShop a couple of times with CFW and my Switch is still unbanned, as well as having multiple NSPs on the console
