Amazing News Today!, Here it Is SX OS v2.8 now works with v8.1.0!
SXOS-28.jpg

TX has announced they have already released an update to their SX OS, which allows full usage of the latest Switch v8.1.0 firmware. :)
We are back with another update for SX OS. As you all probably know, one of our main priorities is making sure existing users are able to keep enjoying SX OS.

This update brings full compatibility for the recent firmware update 8.1.0.

Nothing more, nothing less. We have some very cool features lined up that are not quite ready for primetime yet. And we didn't want to keep you waiting till next september either.
So what are you waiting for? SX OS 2.8 beta is available for download on our website now! (and through the builtin online updater part of SX OS, of course)

TBH - until someone dumps and uploads the firmware for 8.1.0 - I won't be updating my emunand - so it doesn't matter anyway as I'm still on 8.0.1

Check the TX Discord or TX Community - there links to the latest 8.1.0 firmware for those that want to update manually offline.

3 pages, yet nobody talked about if the release works
... Why wouldn't it...? Of course it does. Don't be baselessly pessimistic. That's like a game releasing and being like, "Black screen? Does it have a black screen? Tell me before I buy it so that I know it works!"

I couldn't care less who releases first - when you have argon-nx installed and a modchip - you can coldboot whatever you want. So if SX release first and a game needs the latest update to run, I'll use that, if not I'll use Atmos.

8.1.0 firmware files are readily available on a certain discord...

What is sept exactly?
As of 6.2 some keys to unlock the console on boot were moved to a module on the switch called the "TSMC". A unique exploit was used for 6.2

Starting with 7.0, Atmosphere/ReiNX use "sept", a legitimately signed TSMC payload that can work with the TSMC to derive the boot keys in real time. Prior to sept, there was no way to boot 7.0.x+ firmware.

Released, but ready most before

the same as SX 2.8 would have been ready well before release..

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Who cares who did what first. Just enjoy it, man. It's not a contest. More options is nice, so pick sx os or atmosphere and have fun... then drink a beer.

I don't think he is old enough to drink a beer.

So i thought it was Just SX OS causing this. Although i still have no idea what is, but when i load smash after i put the online feature via the sx menu.

Smash's local wireless gives an error. Good to see this updated tho
