Deserving of a sequel

What games never had a sequel, or it had sequels but no longer, what games deserve a sequel?
Or at least you'd like to see one.

For me there's a handful of games I want to see a sequel for.

DK64, I loved it even though there was too much back tracking to collect everything. (I did)
Shadowgate on NES. There was a N64 version but wasn't true to the original.
Crazy Taxi 3, yes there have been other crazy taxi games but none as good as 1 & 2
Pac-Man world 3, I loved 2 & 3 and think a part 4 would be perfect for the Nintendo switch.

To me, the biggest crime ever committed was no sequel for Sphinx and the cursed mummy.
It was a true jewel in the rough. Developer Eurogames went out of business.

- The Moment of Silence
- Belief and Betrayal
- Undercover - Operation Wintersun
- Ni-Bi-Ru
- Mystery of the Druids

Why ? Because of the great Main Characters.

Tell me more about Mystery of the Druids. I've never played it. Sounds like my kind of game.

Graphics is not sooo great (has issues with newer Nvidia/AMD/ATI cards).

Thank you. I will definitely try this game. Actually there is more behind this thread than just expressing our disappointment in games that do not have a sequel.
Also we can learn from each other of great games we've never played.

You have many great ideas! First of all, you sound like a Dreamcast fan. Not enough games but for the few they had there were great ones.

I love the Mario party mash-up idea. There were so many fun mini games on those first 5 Mario parties. Especially Mario party 1.

Yes definitely Pokémon stadium 3! First 2 were teh awesome! Colosseum was nowhere near as fun.

OMG! I loved Megaman legends 1 & 2. Tron Bonne was not a proper sequel.

Wow, I'm behind on my Suikoden. I loved the first 2. Haven't played others.

I'm a huge fan of the Shining series but only played maybe 4 of them. Would love another. Metroid /Castlevania is a really cool idea.

Sorry, didn't explain myself properly. I meant a sequel to crazy taxi 3. I played and finished 1-3.

The Lost Vikings. New Vikings, new puzzles. A company could milk that franchise for years. It was actually pretty fun.

Gyromite was fun too, but I don’t think many gamers would appreciate the dull 8bit graphics (whoa, wait). Throwing the radishes was my total fav.

I never got to play gyromite. Was that a pc game?
I somehow didn't play lost vikings either. I may try to remedy that.

Always more Final Fantasy Tactics and Tony Hawk Games. Also Golden Sun Dark Dawn's Cliff Hangar is just waiting to be filled (just no more points of no return. I beat that game 3 times just so I could completionist it.

The Lost Vikings is a genesis game. You rotate control of 3 Vikings, each with different abilities to maneuver through a multilevel stage with baddies.

Gyromite is an nes game that worked with R.O.B. (the robot). The game with the nes along with the robot. You play as a professor going from one end of the stage to the “goal” at the end. The tricky part was manipulating the red and blue pipes that would have to use R.O.B. to control or, as we did, let your brother have control of the pipes. Just hope you’ve been nice to your sibiling recently so they don’t pipesmash you.

If you like puzzle games, try these.

Yes I like puzzle games. In fact that's my wife's favorite type of game.
Wow! R.O.B. I had forgotten about him. I never actually got to try one of those but it sounds like fun. The only unique controller I ever got to use was the power glove.

Lost vikings sounds cool I think I'll give it a try.

Outrun 2 so badly needs a sequel. Or a remaster. Or proper BC on a modern platform.

Easily the best arcade racer ever that is languishing in limbo due to the Ferrari license expiring.

Oh yes! I haven't played outrun in ages. They could really do it justice nowadays. Just think how awesome it would look with today's technology

Imagine it on PSVR, can you picture how astounding that would be? O2 had such amazing replayability plus all the extra features made it a great conversion. Its crazy how underrated and ignored this game is these days.

Great list! I forgot about KOTOR. Super fun, I spent many hours playing that game. Star tropics was fun too. I haven't played one in forever.

I do enjoy Dreamcast, but I try to enjoy everything; I really hate to limit myself.
I wholeheartedly agree that Dreamcast didn't have that many games (Japan kept a few gems), but even now, I'm going back and checking things I've missed or titles that have translation patches.

It's kind of funny, but I wrote that blog awhile back--maybe by next year, we'll get more titles listed. Personally, I thought Banjo wasn't going to be on Nintendo anything, anytime soon, but good things may be on the horizon.
