I apologize for the double-post, but I successfully got steelhax working! Cheers to both of you for helping!
I don't suppose you'd be interested in trying to run the sploit-installer for oot3d (either the offline version or the regular version) just to see if it's working with your cart? (I suppose I could try myself, but it's good to have independent verification. Plus you have a Powersaves if something goes really wrong.)

I am going to be at work the rest of the night, but I can surely run the installer when I get home and share results.

So it's been confirmed that updating to 11.10 with Luma CFW installed won't break anything? I'm kinda new to 3DS Homebrew, I modded mine using Fredminer on 11.9. If I avoid updating do I only lose access to the eShop, or does that include playing online in Mario Kart and Monster Hunter?

Just ran sploit-installer from the Homebrew channel regular version. I selected Old3ds11.10-0.43U version on slot 3 and tested it on my cart. I can confirm success! Only consistent thing I get from any method to the Homebrew Channel is sometimes it goes yellow on the bottom screen and I have to restart. Otherwise yes, I got both steelhax working on smealum's latest payload and oothax working on a selected11.10 payload.

Thanks for your contribution.

Would you like to make a Powersaves for OoT3D with the o3DS 11.10 payload? Someone might find it useful someday.

You know what, I realized I had the Wireless off on the o3DS model when I was trying. If that was interfering with OoTHax installation for whatever reason, that's on me. My bad.

Well, that's peculiar. Powersaves does not pick up the oot3dhax file that is currently in the cartridge save slot. I even tried moving it over to save slot 1. I guess I'm going to have to find out how to extract a save file from the cartridge and put it on here from that. Likely going to either involve the SD save transfer or Checkpoint...

It's kind of you to try, but if you can't get the Powersaves to work, then you might as well save yourself the trouble.

The Powersaves is useful because you can use it with an OoT3D cart with just an ordinary Powersaves. If you use Checkpoint (or SD save transfer or JKSM), then the result is only useful for people with another Homebrew entry point like steelhax.

Good points right there. I'll try fiddling with Powersaves later on and update if I got any progress made.

So I just update through the system settings the same way you'd do on a non-hacked 3DS? I don't have to do anything else?

While you don't need to do anything else for 11.10 I would suggest always making a nand backup before updating just to get in the habit of doing so since it is possible for updates to temporarily break CFW.

Wondering if there is any confirmation for Ninjhax with this firmware? Have not updated yet but I assume I will be required to soon if I want to go online.

2DS XL, North American version if it matters.

What firmware are you currently using? If you're on 11.9U, there is very little reason to expect that updating will stop Ninjahax from working.

Will have to double check, but whatever the firmware version was prior to the current version. Started seeing the update prompt in late May when this update dropped.

Edit:

This is my firmware: 11.9.0-42U

Hi,

I have a old 3DS XL runing official firmware v11.10.0-43E. I'm trying to install Ninjhax (I've read that version for v11.9.0-42E should work) but when I run the QR Code in order to open the launcher it says Home "menu Ropbin is ready" or something similar, and 2 seconds later it returns to 3DS's main menu giving an error.

I tried to delete save data, scanned the 16 qr-codes 3 or 4 times, and the result is the same.

Is it posible that this error is given because the Ninjhax installer is not updated to the 11.10.0.42 firmware?
